I hate when people hate on/neglect the Dead's studio albums. The amazing thing about the Dead is that, even if you take away the amazing live shows and bootlegs, they still have a studio output that can compete with the gods of rock'n'roll. American Beauty, Workingman's Dead, Aoxomoxoa, Mars Hotel, Terrapin Station, Blues for Allah...that's seven totally classic albums rght there.
