true dat, for ppl looking into growing where u live it depends where u live, if u wanna rent a house and do it, Chilliwack is the place for you, 1.5 hours out of downtown, no one will bother u and the houses are cheap!

btw, where i live every 6th house is a grow op, and these are not cheap houses either, 400k+

BC is absolutely breathtaking. the landscapes are so beautiful... i live in kamloops, and it's literally a valley, everywhere you look you see towering mountains.. in the middle of downtown there's an exit you can take to go up to this amazing waterfall... it's like 15 minutes from my house, but right in the center of the city. all over the province you can take back trails and roads and end up in the most beautiful hidden places.. little creeks and lakes and valleys, so secluded from everyone and everything. it's amazing. anyway, what i've noticed about people in BC is that they are either VERY liberal minded and open to anything, or else VERY close minded and ignorant. this is just my opinion, but it seems like there isn't that much middle ground. However, the close minded don't bother the open minded and everything flows nicely. I know of many a people who have been caught with pot, under 15 grams, and nothing happens to them but maybe the cops confiscate it.. but usually you can just say you're not doing aynthign or have anything on you (Even if you're stoned out of your mind with 5 grams in a baggy in your pocket) and there won't be too many questions asked. I've seen lots of people just walking down the street or at the beach or at a bus stop smoking up, people pretty much do it everywhere here and not many people ever say anything. and it's not just a "young people" thing either here.. plenty of older professionals (i know of 4 university professors here, but i'm sure there are plenty more) who partake in the good herb as well. all in all, bc is an amazing place. jobs are KIND of scarce, but some fields are in high demand. and housing can be expensive depending where you live.. kamloops isn't bad really. anyway, that's all.

hehe I'm smoking Da Kine dope right now. Theres lostsa stores that sell weed over the counter in Vancouver. Just quietly ask around. I love it down here you can go down town and buy weed in a store. They'll even make change for you out of the register most of the time. The three Cannabis Cafe's I know about are:

    The New Amsterdam Cafe
Da Kine Smoke Shop (mmmm Budder)
and Theres one in Yale Town on Granville

The Blunt Bros Cafe is reopening across the street from the original
and at the melting point you can take hoot's off the vaporizer bag.

Hot as hell and brutally muggy you forgot the brutally muggy part. The only way to stay half sane is to smoke a big fat joint every couple hours so you doen't notice the heat.

And now I must go follow my own advice...:D

Yeah just checked out the average weather in Vancouver http://worldfacts.us/Canada-Vancouver.htm and it's pretty much the same as over here. If I was moving somewhere though I'd like somewhere with better weather. Far to much rain and overcast weather over here for my liking.
