Buddy going to prison...

Thats my point though, there is always going to be a demand and there is always someone who needs or wants money bad enough to do it. I agree it's morally questionable to keep supplying an addict with harmful chemicals. However I also think there are way worse things people can do and I believe in personal accountability. And breaking up families to throw people in prisons among violent sociopaths for years is - to me - much more immoral than selling drugs, cruel and unusual punishment, ineffective, and a waste of all of our tax dollars.

Personally I think it should be doctors and pharmacies distributing drugs like that. With the profit margins removed, and the population properly educated, most of our "drug" problems would disappear into thin air.

 

Obviously I wouldn't like that idea considering this is how I make my money. But I highly doubt it would work. If doctors were allowed to sell the drugs to all the addicts, which means it would be legal for them to sell it, which would make posessing it legal. Where do you think nearly 30% of each states prisons are holding and making cash off of in fines? Posession or suppliers.

 

That really sucks for your freind. He knew the cost of dealing though and he has to pay the price. I wish him luck though on his journey through legal bs for the next 5 yrs of his life.

I realize that but dont think they should be locked up. Education is better at getting people to avoid something than legal threats

 

I just think this is a crappy situation. Sorry for your buddy, but, like has been said, people have to be in control of their own lives. If you choose to dig your grave, you choose to lie in it-users and dealers alike. I do feel badly that he is paying so heavily for his mistake, though.

you cannot blame dealers for anything. Same with weed, im not forcing anything upon you, in fact the buyer usually wont leave me alone til he gets his sack.
No matter where the dealers are in life the buyers wants the product. Someone will step up and sell any drug that has a market for the right price. If I sold meth, I would not fuck with the addict. I would fuck with the people that buy large amounts, and dont use.
But regardless, dealers cannot be blamed. They are not making anyone use anything.

 

No, but they are supplying it. Saying they will get it from somsone else is bullshit, especially when you are that person. Sure, people are going to make stupid decisions and get them selves addicted to it, but just because they could get it somewhere else does not make you impervious to the fact you are fucking persons and families and it should not ease your conscience.

 

HAHA! You can't even compare! You're friend isn't selling for medical reasons either. So fuck man, that shit is nasty. I feel bad for your friend, it sucks that his life is fucked now, but I'm also glad he's no longer dealing.
