Calories do not contribute to weight gain. That is a sad myth that our society has become obessed with. Eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheese are protein rich foods that do not clog your arteries or raise your cholesterol unless you eat these meals daily and in very large quantities. The trans fats (hydrogenated oils) found in the processed meats that are used in fast food restaurants are what one should watch for. Roundess in the belly, hip and thigh area is actually a sign of insulin intolerance (insulin resistance). This means that your body is producing too much insulin. The sugar and starches in the food you eat are being broken down and stored as fat. Swapping white flour and starch for whole grains will help.
that's right folks, its perfectly ok to eat sausage and bacon everyday. not only do they not make you fat, they are good for you. eat at burger king all you want. calories do not make you fat at all. sin makes fat. only jesus can make you skinny. convert now
that was uncalled for. she didn't say eat at burger king everyday, in fact she said they're okay if you don't eat them everyday or in very large quantities. she even said that fast food meat is bad because it contains hydrogenated oils, trans fats, which i believe starting in 2006 all foods contained trans fats have to be labled as such because they're so bad for you... which is why a lot of packaging right now is advertising "no trans fats" anyway.... there are a lot of theories on what makes a person fat or what. i think most ppl know the basics... eat whole grains and frutis and veggies and a little bit of fat and get excercise and yeah.. *shrug* gets too complicated after that... all those food combinations and whatnot.
i dont know if its the food we eat that makes the us obese... but more the lack of exercise the US does to lose that weight... i saw something on the news the other day about how schools and whatnot are cutting physical education for cut backs in education costs
Actually, BK does have a vegetarian item too. At least the ones around Madison, Wisconin do. They have a vegi burger(although not pictured on their menu, they don't want to scare away the conservitive crowd). It is actually not bad if you are in a hurry. As good as any frozen Boca burger you can find at the grocery store, not as good as one you might get in a real vegetarian restaurant or make at home though. Don't get me wrong though, I still don't like BK, but it is nice when I am with my parents or other people who just have to have fast food. At least there is something other than a cheese burger no meat for me.
