Does it realy help your argument when you say dumb things like this? I wonder, would you have protested the American Civil War? Maybe the American Revolution? How about the Civil war in Libera? My father has been on mission trips. As a matter of fact, he has been all over the world. Each place he goes he notices one same thing. Our worst here in America have it 50 times better than the rest of the world. I say this and I am done with you. If you don't like it do something. As a matter of fact, if you get on the news, make sure you say "this is for you Real American" so I know it's you finaly doing something. If not, shut the hell up or move to another country. In case you haven't noticed sir, or perhaps didn't read the whole topic to see how it evolved, I never changed the subject. I simply added my thoughts on posts above mine. That sir, is how a forum works. You will also notice, that I refrain from cursing, as the other members do not. Here I am now, defending my views and rights against your attack, and you will ban me for it. Kinda messes up your whole hipforums.com idea doesn't it? Now, sence the topic I guess is starting fresh. Until you hear something other than rumor, or see evidence other than speculation, there is no tape. What happened to inocent until proven guilty?

 

The pictures are evidence. Are you fucking blind? The proof is right there, in the smiling faces of the Amerikan soldiers that are forcing the prisoners to fuck eachother.

 

I don't see sex in that picture. What I see is some people that were prolly pretty pissed off that one of their friends got killed, or mad at the entire race that American's were getting killed. Do I think they acted right? No. Do I think they deserve a punishment for the inhumane treatment? Yes. Do I think all soldiers act this way? Hell No!

 

Why don't you ask the people in the photos that question.

does that "shut the hell up or leave the country" rule apply to all forums? because that has to be the most aggravating line ever delivered by someone losing an argument. while i'm fully prepared to encourage someone to follow their dreams of leaving the country, i'm a big fan of following dreams.


anyway, back to topic. i'm all for innocent until proven guilty. the problem is that the very items that would be used to prove some sick pederast rapists guilty will naturally be completely hidden if ithey did exist. i can't point to a particular soldier and yell "guilty!" but now we've all got that sick, creepy feeling. for my part, i hope the whole thing is a lie. but i seriously doubt it. there's fucked up nut-jobs everywhere you go.

 

RIGHT...this is the SAME person who was bitching at another arab girl for supporting the war in Iraq.......Who are you to speak on behalf of all Arabs? I am not saying I supported the war the least bit, but how arrogant are you that you can voice the feelings of all Arabs?

 

1. It was not an Arab at all, let alone a girl. It was an imposter.

2. Im am speaking from my direct experience of Arabs, and you can go out and ask them how they feel about Bush taking action. Have been to several Arab countries since I was little (not as a tourist but as family, My mother is from Tunisia, and some are in Turkey), and Arabic is my second language. I am sorry to have said "We Arabs dont want your freaking help". Someone out there does, but the majority would like to see the Americans out of Iraq, and an end to all the negative publicity. It just pissed me off that some white American who has no Arab ties, and watches propaganda is actually believing the whole Free the Beloved Iraqi shpiel! I do believe that the Arab countries need help but NOT THIS KIND! By the way Max, Iraq was not bad at all and we were actually staying with friends as close as family. I was much younger then, and I remember everyone we met being helpful and kind.
When I visit my mother and watch Al Jazeera, Egyptian station, Lebanese, Dubai, and +++ they broadcast what is going on with disdain, and often anger. They show the other side.

3. Back on to topic. There is more videos out there, and I remember watching Rumsfield telling the public to get braced for worse pictures/video. Now that things have cooled off, the public has blew it off and forgotten.


Truth is neither side is right or wrong. Americans or Iraqi's they both have been doing something wrong.

Who said anything about hiding the truth? I am a "rebublican" if you wanted to label me, and If there is proof then those involved should be punnished. What's to argue about? Oh yeah, I remeber, there is no proof that the tapes exist, just speculation.

 

Talk about denial.

When Abu Gharib prisoners and their families complained, nothing happened. When the red cross complained, nothing happened. When the US ordered an internal investigation, they found nothing to get excited about. Only when the tapes were ready to surface was a real investigation conducted which found out what was going on. And then it was in the words of Rush Limbaugh it was just people "letting off steam" and besides the Iraqis were all guilty (as many have said here), right?

Well no, they are detainees, not convicts, and it was torture. After hearings, lawmakers who had been briefed about the remaining, yet to be seen tapes (briefed by their own government, not the "librul media" or "some journalist") said they would prove even more shocking than what Americans had seen so far.

Still, "Real Americans" remain sceptical that the tapes even exist, just as they have been in denial every step of the way. Well nobody is going to hold their breath waiting for you to wake up.

Hells bells Pointbreak it sounds like you have been reading the Guardian.

And I agree with you there does seem to be a lot of denial around in the US these days and it’s not just on this subject. But then it could be that it is more about being uninformed, which is just ignorance, or being irrationally partisan, which is just stupidity.

What I fear is those at the top in the Bush admin are counting on that denial, ignorance and stupidity and are hoping to cynically use it to stay in power.

 

So I should believe every claim that every journalist makes? You make it sound like being skeptical is a bad thing.

Like I said before, I'll believe the tapes when I see them, and unlike GA I really don't care what it does for troop morale. If they exist, odds are that they will get out eventually, and more than likely soon.

Well instead of being skeptical be realistic and see the truth. There's pictures already shown, of course there's more too, and there just has to be tapes along with those. Those soldiers were sick enough to take pictures, why wouldn't they make videos also?
