    Hi Chuck. :D

Okay okay okay... I really did look this up. :D According to law.com, the language "high crimes and misdemeanors" as used in the United States Constitution refers to felonies, which are categorized as crimes being punishable by death sentance or prison terms exceeding the length of one year (as far as I know).

And obviously the president's advisors are not idiots, and have made sure it is impossible to prove if he has commited any such crime.

Anyways, it doesn't matter, because we're not seriously discussing impeaching the president, merely venting our mutual, general level of disgust with the man's policies. :D

He, (unlike Clinton) knows not to lie under oath. I'm pretty sure he never lied in front of a jury, under oath, etc.

And even if he had, couldn't he use the defense that he "didn't know" weapons of mass destruction weren't in Iraq, or that he was "mis-led by intelligence", and the various other cop-outs his administration has used in the aftermath of Iraq?

And now that I think of it, the instances I was referring to cannot all be proved, especially since alledged human rights violations occured in Guantannemo Bay,(bad spelling :D), where the military insists that because prisoners are not on American soil, they are not protected under the U.S. Constitution, and since they are not techically prisoners of war, they are not protected under the Geneva Convention.

So... that arguement is fucked. :D

And I disagree with you guys, believing that America will go further downhill. I feel optismistic that good, strong, leadership from a new administration, (be it Democrat or Republican) could help lead the country in a new, more sensible direction.

For Bolton? Nah... of all the things that Bush does that are fucked up, these kindsa things are the best. He nominates some of the worst people possible. John Bolton looks like Yosemite Sam, fuck Ashcroft lost his senate seat to a dead man.

John Boltons nomination is hilarious. Apparently, Bush doesn't know many people. [IMG]

  16. you can't prove that something doesn't exist, I cannot prove that the easter bunny doesn't exist, but he doesn't

he used to, he's not aloud to work for a company that has u.s. fedral contracts (awful sentence there is a reason) while he's in office, it's called a conflict of interest, haliburton fucked the u.s. army, they didn't supply food and medical supplies they had contracted to supply, cheney got them the bid because he has a stock option, thus he still gets money for them from when he worked for them......

he can't draw a salary from them legaly anyway.....

Now that's just too damn sad. :p
