Bush wants us to shop!

actually, in regards to income, the lowest 20% in America have less spending power than pretty much all of Western Europe. I think it even climbs to nearly 40% when comparing the US and Sweden.

In other words, Americas poor are some of the poorest people in the developed world as well. What makes this a rich country is the top percentile income wise.

 

What you said was probably true but I said that Americans spend more of their disposable income, not that they have more spending power.

 

What I find incredible is that anyone would listen to him
and his command "to shop" ...... but there probably were a certain amount of compliant citizens that just went right on out to their local malls to do so. Bush loves his American citizens to behave like a herd of sheep so they can be easily herded into the same corral. The primary reason why the government wanted to quell the Hippies during the 60's was because they took a stand against this type of conformity - they were labeled as "dissidents" and "trouble makers" by the Powers-That-Be, but in actuality they were just individuals who opposed war for the right reasons, etc.

I find it amazing that Bush has not been impeached yet - but the good thing is that finally more & more Amerians who supported him before are seeing the light and are falling like flies. You gotta wonder about what goes on in the world - men like the Kennedys and Abraham Lincoln and John Lennon are taken out while jerks like Bush just keep bumbling along. We really need to get him out of office before he takes any more of our rights away.

Im going one step further. I wondered why someone hasn't shot the son of a bitch (sorry Barbara). He's passing war plans like he's going to be in office in 2010.
I do believe he doen't know this is his last term in office, less than one year.
He always looks relaxed back on his ranch in Texas, hope him many years in Texas and not in Washington,DC........Alaskan
