Don't put Canadia's serial killer problems on us. Our serial killers are just too manly to take the bus.

ahhhh. yeah. you can't be safe everywhere. that's just unrealistic. thoughts like that one MJB had there are how we're so rapidly getting to the big brother society.

 

I was told that it was because of a safety issue. If people need to exit the bus quickly, seat belts get in the way. Only the driver has one. It doesnt make much sense, no.

I've had one bad experience with them.

But nothing close to what you're describing.

I certainly don't think bus marshalls are in order by any stretch, but there has to be some way to ensure a passengers safety...good old fashioned faith just doesnt seem to cut it

 

Are there video cameras on buses? I think thatd make sense. Or the scanning bags like you do before airplanes. But honestly, you cant live in fear. That just doesnt make sense.

 

We went up to see the original cast of "Spamalot" and stayed in the shittiest Holiday Inn on a back alley on Wall Street. The bellhop dropped my bag which had a 750 of Jameson in it, and all the ice machines were broken anyway. The bus ride was par for the course.

The show was excellent though...

 

they put security cams in cabs here, I'm sure its other places in the world too...there's a hidden switch to turn it on by the driver in the event shit's goin down

 

i absolutely hate wearing seat belts. i wouldn't wear a seatbelt on a bus...and i rarely if ever wear one on the plane - i make it look like i'm wearing it, but its not buckled.

i only wear them in cars where i figure its what the driver wants

 

That was the one time that's happened in the history of busses though. You're asking for extravagant hassling security measures for something that was a freak accident.

I don't want to have to be strip searched in a bus line because of one horrible crime happening once. It wasn't a security issue. You simply can't prepare for someone that insane and violent... they can be on the streets.

Their not though. Busses aren't dangerous. (In that sense) It was just a horrible anomaly.
