Buying shit you don't need just because it's cheap...

Theres this store called BIG LOTS, I buy so much useless junk in there. its great they need more big lots, odd lots..

Buying stuff cheap is OK if you needed it or were going to buy it at a later date. For example, I always buy my nice ski jackets in spring when they go on sale and save them for the coming season.

Buying stuff for the sake of buying isn't that great, but I've been guilty.

I've been better and as a result have been buying less things ons ale because now i only buy things I am enthrawled with. Occasionaly those things are on sale.
I usually buy underwear, bras and loungewear on sale at Gap Body, just becuase their sale stuff is what fits the weather here.

 

for food thought I usually stock up on thingss I like when they are on sale. Like organic spinach was on sale for 99 cents at whole foods (normally 3 dollars) so I bought like 10 and juiced them. I do that with most fruits and vegetables since I eat about 90 percent organicaly, locally and sustainabley and it gets expensive.

 

I'll do similar things with clothes. I'll buy my cashmere in mid-summer and my silk skirts in late fall. I got a 120 dollar skirt for 10 bucks last fall...I can't wait until it is warm enough to wear it. I got a 300 dollar cashmere cardigan for 50 last summer and it has been my favorite cardigan so far this spring.

 

My mom used to buy me the worst clothes just because they were cheap...she'll buy anything if it's $5...

No joke, I had a pair of baby blue rugger pants (only the people around my age will know what I am talking about) and they were several sizes too big...needless to say, I never did grow into them. Hallelujah They were hideous

I try not to buy stuff I don't need, but sometimes I am buying stuff that I will eventually need...like clothes for my kids in the off-season when they are on sale...

cheep tripods used to be no good for the cameras i used to have, but i could use one now for my little digital which weighs almost nothing, for macro and low lights.

I bought a Popeye video 6 months ago for two quid. I still haven't bloody watched the thing! I've even put it in my DVD player and left it there for several days and then took it out.
