True story, even a few years ago when prices were a little better, a fixer upper in a not so great area of where I live would run you around 200.

We're working on buying our second home, and we will more than likely be paying around 100 grand, give or take, for what we want. It sure would be nice to pay less than that, but it's rare that you can find a house in a good area for much less than that around here, I swear. Plus we're looking for acreage, which doesn't come cheap.

Relocate? Absolutely. I have no problem with that.

I wish we could find the amount of land for what hippiehillbilly paid. That's awesome. I'm totally envious!

Boy, I don't even want to start thinking of buying a home. Tooooo much commitment. Haha. How sad is that? I'm willing to get married, sign my life away (so to speak, lol), but buying a house is a huge commitment. I'm a wanderer, I don't figure I'll find the place I want to settle down in permanently for a looooooong time from now, so it'll be a long time before I even will allow myself to think about buying a house. It'll just depend on the cost of living in the particular area I settle down in and my income.
