i am going to see savages when it comes out...with my son...first time we will be at a movie in 10 years

i have 3 seperate families pf mam swallows living on my property...all 3 have hatchlings learning to fly..

they fly low each in their own area..the babies will fly about 30 feet and then turn around and fly straight back...over and over for hours

one family is using the road and staying perfectly on it back and forth in front of the house

 

Been shitty here all day rain off and on , makes you super tired for some reason

5 days of serious sunshine here...wake up and bake up

 

a couple of french people doing a documentary on the canadian indie music scene might be crashing at my place tomorrow. they're interviewing a band at the sound of music festival i guess. i love couchsurfing, but spending time on that site and talking to other couchsurfers always gives me an urge to quit my job and get on a bus/train/plane.

i leave for my roadtrip to the east coast in 6 weeks, hopefully that satisfies my wanderlust. still thinking of going down to haiti for a week or two in december/january, but we'll see how my financial situation is doing. there is a haitian guy about my age who i've been talking to since the earthquake, i'd love to meet him. life is so hard for him, it would be nice to go down and at least buy him a few meals and spend some time talking in person instead of on the phone. his accent makes the phone hard sometimes.

 

you have to be very polite to be a good guest at someones house....not everyone can pull it off....i had no idea that canadas biggest free festival is there...cool...big sugar is one of my favorite bands...

 

I've given up ever making myself get to the gym on a regular basis. i get most of my cardio from riding my bike and I work in a warehouse so I lift things most days.

the French documentarians are coming for sure now, if I don't post anymore after tomorrow night, it's fair to assume I've been murdered and you'll all be getting body parts in the mail.

awesome day...junior and i went to the mainland and got some shit done finally...i have to re create a cabin on stage at the school....which i did ...and a forest....which i did.....they doing some ancient verses where they were never written down but there is apparantly 10,000 verses wtf?
