    It's so windy here. There's all kinds of debris hitting the house every time it gusts.

    I doubt that I'll sleep much tonight. Not ready to try yet.

    National Weather Service Alerts

    "...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST WEDNESDAY...
    * LOCATIONS...MOST OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.
    * WINDS...NORTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.
    * TIMING...TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
    * IMPACTS...WEAK OR DROUGHT STRESSED TREES MAY BE TOPPLED. DRIVING HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES MAY BE HAZARDOUS.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
    A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 20 MPH...OR GUSTS TO 35 MPH OR STRONGER ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN TOPPLE TREES OR BRING DOWN LARGE BRANCHES AND WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION."

    Than That, The Highest Iv'e Recorded Here Was 75 mph In 1983,

    Give Us A Call Back When "Shit Really Starts To Get Real"...[IMG].

    Sorry Aerianne, but gusts of 40 mph are pretty much a non-event. You will need to do a helluva lot better than that if you want to make an impression in THIS thread. Maybe get somebody in authority to give your storm a nice name, like maybe, I dunno, Bambi or sumthun, THEN we might take it a bit more seriously.

    Or not. :)

    what dicks...glen still hasnt cleaned up the 1983 wind storm debris off his patio...just as long as he has room for his bucket of chicken

    and the winds in boston are coming directly out of chugmo's overly vivid imagination and empty wine bottle collection

    see?....thats how you back up a friend....even if they are wrong you still need to step up and help:)

    We got dumped with at least six inches of heavy wet snow. I got the car cleared off and drove Grace (dog) to the park. I knew the roads in the park would be cleared. My street is always the last to be plowed and then they just plow it up against the car so you can't get out at all. They will likely get to our street in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping.

    You failed to mention the winds arising from the depths of my bowels...

    Looks like that storm didn't dump enough on you, cuz now it's on its way here and supposed to dump about the same amount on us. On me, in particular.

    Lol, that was not under my radar, Mr. Rolling!

    I wasn't wrong to say that debris hitting the house was keeping me concerned. I live under some big oak trees, some of which are right up against the front porch. These two are outside my bedroom window. They drop alot of limbs. I have one laying on the air conditioning unit in my window.

    I've only seen that snow plowed in parking lots once when I drove to N.J. the day after xmas. I stopped in Baltimore to see a friend and they had that high snow plowed up in the parking lot at the apartment complex.
