You asked tell me what % and according to the Bible (which I hold as the truth) there is no such thing as a %. There is not in between. Belief in Christ is all or nothing.

I was just answering your post according to my worldview.

Well we have Dr. Lennart Moller, Dr. Manfred Bietak, Professor Ken Kitchen, Dr. Ebba M. During, Professor Alan Millard, all pretty hard hitters. And Sera, if you did your homework, you would of understood that Dr. Moller worked with Wyatt for about 10 years. I will say this, I don't believe everything Wyatt said was the truth. Yet I do believe Wyatt thought it was. Ron got to close to the truth, and it became necessary to delegitimize the man. It was not others that brought Rons credibility into question, but rather what came out of his own mouth. Ron was shown things that were false, but he believed them to be real, which also involved his experiences, in Zedekiah's cave.
Art Keel, who was one of the top ufo researchers here in America, who to my knowledge was also a non believer, stated, that as he got more involved in the study of ufo's he was launched into the world of Demonology. He talked how things would appear and suddenly dissapear in front of his eyes. He also stated that a number of his friends started to experience stranges happenings shortly after his expericences. Ron, I believe, became a victim of this, only on a more organized scale.

Both Russia, and America have spent billions of dollars doing research in this area. So it appears theres more going on here, than just mental illness. You might find the time to do some research in this area, it might broaden your horizons.

Wishful thinking, deceipt, or outright lie?? Your statement is one of those three. There is in fact an ever increasing number of people, including scholars and also ex-christians, who have come to know the truth that christianity is a lie and a hoax. That is why attendances in christian churches is falling, falling, falling.....................
There is (at least) one non-scriptural account! You can't be serious, surely. But sadly you are. WOW ~ at least one!!! Surely you can see the obvious failing ~ one man writes that he saw an elephant with pink skin and purple spots, so it must be true, right?
Not only that, but no one can know what is and isn't likely in the time of Clement. Your imagination transcends time and space, like christians of old!
And it is just those contradicting traditions that make the entire belief more and more likely to be untrue because truth is consitently consistent, not consistently inconsistent.
Know the truth and the truth will set you free.

    Libertine,

What you wrote, to me, is beautiful; the anger and wanting, the knowing, of actual human good and suffering is beautiful and noble. I believe that most folks, writers and readers and 'believers,' most often miss what the "indentified originator" of their religion and/or spiritual practice really meant; miss the message that was being delivered.

Sensible and honest spiritual practitioners exist and these are sometimes the "witches who are burned;" Just as the man Jesus was murdered; I am not arguing, here, for an "either/or" determination of correctness because I believe that even the greatest are learning, but this, at the same time, does not discount the profound greatness that can and does exist. And in the rage to resolve, and to find truth, we sometimes 'throw out the baby with bathwater.'

The truth is oft difficult to convey and to see, as you well know, and there are those whose regard for 'self-review,' for honesty, and for 'goodness among men,' is errant, low or nearly nonexistent, and maybe nonexistent. Yes, there are people who walk around the world 'blind' and with some material power who propogate evil acts, many do it in the 'name of good. But there are many others who are questioning and who are rational, who are open to learning; and these include religious and spiritual 'believers.' There are some who understand what a particular "originator," who was murdered approximately 2000 years ago, meant when he said something about the nature of his spirituality; something that bears on the righteous and well meant pain that you express and it is:

"..Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous... "

    Peace,

    David

Sera, heres one source you will not have to spend any money on. World talk radio asked Dr. Moller to call in and explain what they have found. I listened and found it to be really a great program. You can here Moller and Wayne C. Sedcak host of the show talk about the findings in the Red Sea, and what they discovered at Mount Sinia. Also Moller tells of his involvement with Ron Wyatt.

Libertine, I found a site you might find of some intrest, World talk radio asked Dr. Lennart Moller to call in and speak of the discoveries that they have found in the Red Sea and Mount Sinia. The host of the show was Wayne C. Sedcak. I learned a few things myself. Some good and some not so. Yet It was very interesting. Moller spoke of his relationship to Ron Wyatt and they mentioned that they took over five hundred underwater pictures. They also speak of Mount Sinia, which it appears Moller got in to actually see. You can hear the whole interview on line.

MrRee, they took hundreds of underwater phtographs, it's not just one chariot wheel. They interviewed Dr. Lennart Moller on World Talk Radio, on Sept 7, 2005. He spoke of their findings, and you can hear the entire interview by clicking on this adress. The proof of God's existance is demonstrated in Bible stories the world denied, but science is now confirming. And the greatest conformations are yet to come. BUT WILL THE WORLD LISTEN?http://www.worldtalkradio.com/archive.asp?aid=4934

O ok... Im sorry... I don't know if I could give you a percentage because I do not know the people's hearts and if they trully believe or not.

I already explained that... when a person uses drugs it becomes their first God in their life also it destroys the body... The same body that is a temple of God.

RE: Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

    Oh come on.

    Acts 2:21

21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

    Romans 10:13

13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

So which is it? Whosoever, or not all?

By the way, even if they found a bunch of chariot wheels and the like in the Red Sea, IT DOES NOT FOLLOW THAT MOSES PARTED IT.

The Bible mentions Caesar. We know Caesar existed. However, this doesn't prove that EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE BIBLE IS CORRECT.

Keep in mind God said he would destroy Tyre for ever - and it still exists.

Here's the problem then - if God lies, and you're right, according to the Bible God does, that makes "The Word of God" suspect.

Sure. God doesn't want you to rely upon the bible, God wants you to rely on God. There is a reason that everything is holy as swiss cheese.

    OK,
1). I am not a christian, I'm just a guy with a library card and alot of time on his hand. I have very little emotional investment in the issue one way or the other.
2). You said "there are none" I (and all reputable scholars) say, "there is one". According to the criteria that historians use to validate documents the epistle by clement can be taken at face value.
I don't think you understand the intellectual climate of Rome at the end of the first cent. Intellectuals were already debating christianity at that point.
For the bishop of Rome to have issued a statement based solely on rumour is unlikely, it would have been like a boxer leading with his chin.
    3) Again, I'm not a christian. I'll call an apologist on his shit as soon as a skeptic. Both sides like to play fast and lose with the facts.

:D Skeptics act like christianity is a hole they're afraid they might fall into.

:D Christians act like it's a tree they're afraid they might get shaken out of.
