RE: Sure. God doesn't want you to rely upon the bible, God wants you to rely on God.

So, I'll rely on God. But given that the Bible is full of lies it can't be trusted to tell me about God.

    ALLAHU AKBAR!

Don't rely on anything but God. That means the Koran, a physics textbook, a bible, etc.

However, God does reveal certain things about God in the Koran, a physics textbook, and the bible, so you shouldn't dismiss them either.

I was sitting on my motorcycle in front of the coffee shop feeling sorry for myself after a bad breakup, trying to figure out if I actually deserved any of the crapola i'd been through with my ex when a homeless guy walked up the street towards me screaming and swearing and shaking his fist at invisible enimies.

He came down to earth long enough to ask me for a smoke, turned to go, then stopped, looked at me, and said, "Noone has a right to treat you like a piece of shit!! NOBODY!!!". Then he nodded and walked away.

It was like he'd been reading my mind.

    Ah-ha!

Well, if you believe in the Koran and physics textbooks, you can't necessarily buy into the Bible wholesale.

Then that is not true free will. How can it be free will if you have to believe in god to have it? You'd better open up a dictionary on this one, seems like you need a vocabulary refresher.

Don't recall saying I put absolute faith in anything (including the Koran, Blow Jobs, The Bible, Beer or Sex) but God.

Come to think of it He did look a little like Morgan Freedman, on an overdose of Xanax I mean.

:D I think we've gone from stoning our prophets to just getting them stoned.

He was born in 1921. Anyway, my dad is the one smoking with him. I don't smoke with my parents.

Hmm. My grandfathers girlfriend grew up in east germany (til she was 16). Last night, she was disturbed that we were throwing out a couple leaves of lettuce or something. Some people are raised to be misers. Some people aren't.

A Great Christian Scam ~ The Wyatt Fraud
Since the information on Ron Wyatt was published by us several years ago, Ron Wyatt has died. However, there are other people who have stepped into the shoes of Ron Wyatt and continue to perpetuate this fraud.

And I don't think you have any understanding at all NaykidApe.
Read my words vis-a-vis your statement You said "there are none" ~ In fact I
wrote nothing of the kind. If you're gonna quote me, don't re-write my words as you think them but quote me correctly. That's a basic courtesy of discussion.
And regards your assumption I don't think you understand the intellectual climate of Rome at the end of the first cent ~ that's only your assumption, not an established fact.
Fact is, christianity was being discussed because of it's falaciousnes, and those who pointed out it's falsity were persecuted then killed off over the next several centuries.
You maybe need to keep in mind that library sources are usually very slow in being updated (check publication dates), and with regard to library based christian history, well, it is almost always published by christian publishers and written by christian authors. Very rare to get any genuine critique of christianity from a library.
