you demanded statistics and like i told you they are worthless on both sides.You need to listen to the news everyday and from every source,thats where the facts are.They love telling stories of how a liquer store clerk or an old lady defended herself,however you more often hear about drivebys and hold ups gone bad.The latest story about some ass burning up his family(apples) doesn't excuse the fact some clerk was shot in a hold up last week(oranges)and it is no reason to not address the problem.Crimes involving guns could be cut considerably if the paranoid out there would quit playing the gun industries game.Sure crime involving gas,knives etc would increase,but not as effectivly,because there would be less effect weapons at their disposal.
Just cause someone gets shot in the inner city by a criminal doesn't mean they were a criminal.

yea seriously man... and to you dirk pitt.. hes right, in Montreal here , we never hear about gun killings in newspaper, of course not... people dont wanna see that in newspapers, we always read a bunch of nice gentle crap. But downtown mostly in the subway, A FUCK LOAD of shit happens (guns), we just never hear about it... how bad would that be to montreal's economy, knowing that our most important economic tool (the montreal subway) was the home of many gun killings. I agree, people die because of knives, bone arrows, water guns, go-karts whatever . But guns remain one of the most important problems in society.

ya maybe not.. come to think of it, here in Canada, i think we have almost the same percentage of guns per home, but yet we have like 200 gun killins/year.
But there is DEFENITELY something wrong with the gun control in U.S., i mean fuck, you can buy guns at Wal-Mart probably made by poor Chinese kids over there. I think ive never seen a gun store in Canada. the control is much better as far as i know.

First, let me say I see the points you are making, and they are well taken.

The hippies had the luxury of looking for utopia because North America is well defended, and individual liberty is protected. The old hippies represented a very small subset of the world's population. Folks in third world countries look for water, food, and shelter. Having the necessities would be a utopia for many of them.
