Your first step to overcoming your anxiety is to share your problem with real people. Sharing it on a thread won't help you much. If you honest with someone about your feelings/pain I am sure they will sympathize with you and will appreciate your honesty. I bet even if you shared your social problem with the person you are most afraid of, his or her response will probably surprise you and you will have made a new friend.
