look around at the world and you tell me. but at the end of the day, everyone is here to do their own thing, so w/e. I don't agree with that adage at all. Ignorance is simply a sort of escapist outlook, which really isn't bliss at all, and furthermore, a conscious acknowledgement of ignorance isn't ignorance in the first place, so I'm not sure how anyone would actively use or make the lifestyle of ignorance is bliss work for them. Besides, it's my opinion that ignorance can't last forever.
idk, I think a lot of ignorance is on purpose. perhaps not to a fully conscious degree, but ppl choose ignorance. maybe they don't need to look into a vast void to choose ignorance, but at a low level they do sense that their worldview and habits follow a narrower paradigm than what they're capable of. I think ppl can be at great ease with their ignorance and can live out their days without undergoing any significant personal inventory, but that may be where reincarnation and karma/dharma step in. perhaps ppl are given more and more opportunities to be fully honest and let the simple energy flow; perhaps a lifetime comes where ignorance eventually becomes exhausted and a soul must come to grips with their entirety, such as those who're "born" with inner peace...perhaps I don't really know what this thread is about
People choose ignorance because they are ignorant of the alternative. If they knew the whole story they would never even speak the word again.
