pandy. i want to be friends with your grandma.

none of my grandparents are at all interested in me having dreadlocks. in fact every now and then my popa says 'are you going out like that? emma, your hair looks terrible. it's ok for a boy to look like that, but not a girl'. it's so funny, he has this crazy dutch indonesian accent and his dementia has turned him plain mean. all i can do is smile.

 

most old ladies i encounter either stare at it or they come up and tell me they like it or it is interesting.. which is weird i thought it would be the other way around.

Thanks mandy. =) The first pic is of my and my youngest sister. That was the day of her baby shower. I just realized that that pic does not really show off her baby bump much.

And that is my fav pic of me with my kiddos. Simply put it's "day in the life of" so means a lot when I look at it. =)
