chameleon_789, this isn't a discussion of whether or not people "should" smoke pot. The discussion is about the definitive dangers, if any, of using ganja while pregnant. Most of my friends used weed in HS and college in the 70s and 80s. About half continue to use it occasionally, the others have outgrown it, not stopped due to any real bad effects. (All are employed, most college educated, ect.) Only ONE has any major issues with it. He also has an antisocial personality disorder, has abused 9not used properly) everything from alcohol to cocaine to Prozac, to antipsychotic medications. He gets FREE psychiatric care, yet, he is still self medicating with weed and other drugs. Just because medical care is free does NOT mean people do not continue to self medicate. You have to be patient for antidepressants to start to work. He can't wait for LUNCH, (usually eats his at 10:00 and then complians that he's out of food at lunch time. Dude has issues.) he can't wait for the proper drugs to work, and he refuses to be honest with his shrink, (he admits to this) so even FREE mental health care isn't going to help him. One has to apply one's self for mental healt care to be effective. This dude wakes up and lights a joint. Can't even wait to take a piss. Some people will self medicate, even in the presence of free health care, due to personality factors. My guess would be your "addicted" freind is among these people.
Back on topic please, if we want to discuss whether pot is safe for nonpregnant people, or whether people "should" use it, the discussion can go in the "Hiipies" "Health" or "Marijuana" section. Thank you.
Honestly, you really can't trust anything you hear on a television set. Most information is very much prejudiced one way or the other. Think about it. If it's on television, someone PAID for it to be there.
