Come on, the whole right wing is not just some rich-man's club. There are real, community oriented politicians on the right just like on the left. Also like the left, these sorts generally tend to be more local-level than national or state. More power equals more chances to get bribed because there's more in it for people.

Moving on from that, it's hard to see how weed could be made legal. It's like lowering the drinking age back to 18, it'd be sorta chaotic. It'd probably have to be in stages, first decriminalize possession up to a certain amount, then all amounts, then decrim selling/growing up to a certain amount of plants, then any amount. I'm not sure how it was done in Amsterdam, but we could look to them for tips.

I will disagree with Bill, though, and say that it's unlikely being stoned on the job will ever be largely tolerated; nor should it. Clearly in such situations as pilots, doctors, etc it'd be bad, but I doubt anyone would support having their employees stoned all the time, even if "perhaps a way of being stoned can be tought that is productive, like finding the best techniques for working while stoned, the work thats best done, ways to get interest out of work, that sort of thing" were developed. Alcohol is legal, but no one is allowed to drink on the job. I know they're different drugs, but the point remains. You don't want your workers zoning out to the store music or something, you know?

no one is allowed to drink on the job because alchohol stuff with your coordination and inhibitions. the point is that it only applies to some jobs, and it must be a tought practice or guideline for working while stoned. its not to put people on weed to work, its to say 'if you are gonna be stoned at work, you need to learn how to do this shit otherwise your fucked'. obviosuly jobs with responsibility cannot be allowed to be under the influence of anything.

and alchohol is legal at 16 in the countries where drinning is most successful. all changes can be made, but im sure i made a point that there are many problems with instantly changing the laws due to the current culture that has developed.

all i know is that i LOVED mopping up and cleaning the store while stoned. but i couldnt deal with sales. i didnt want to deal with sales. if you smoke on your job and do a bad job.. then youll simply get fired. if you can do it without people noticing that your stoned then obviously your not doing anything wrong.

its all about education, and awareness. people simply dont go to work drunk because you cant do jack shit while drunk and act like a total fool. yet people go to work stoned because its manageable in those areas of work.

it would be up to an employer to judge whether they allow their workers to be a little high if they do their job fine.
but it obviously wouldnt be encouraged
