I think you need to be employed at the car wash to dry cars.....

self service car washes dont have attendants, or service people working there. Only time they come to the car wash is in the mornings to collect the money, refill soap and they leave. They dont come back til the next day.

You mean like the "steal yur quarters" places? Never see anybody drying cars there... Must be a big city thing.

I have a black car, I'd have to hit the first guy that came near my car with a dirty rag wanting to scratch my paint...

If you used the brush at the car wash, you might as well use sand paper.
The reason you dont see people there drying cars, nobody wants to work nowadays. Seeing how Ive given suggestions and was shot down.

When I dried cars, my towels were all brand new, each car was dried with a new towel. Only crackheads dont have towels and home washing machines. I used to do this for fun and extra cash. People will pay you just to spray their cars off, so they dont have to..

How come hippies can go to gathering and sell things(illegal substances and pipes and crap) on private property, but cant go to a car wash and dry cars on private property to earn a dollar?/

Nah.... Don't use the brush either. Guys wash their 4X4 tires with those things, I've watched them do it.....

Anyways. Back to the topic, I think. I may be mistaken but it wasn't so much the OP was looking for a "job" which drying cars certainly would fit that bill, but was going to go to school for auto mechanics or some such, but his body said no..... so he's looking for another avenue of learning. At least that was my take on it. That's why I asked what other interests were..... The thread unraveled from there....

Certainly a short learning curve involved with drying cars at a car wash, but I don't think that what he was asking about originally.

Id like to think im trying. Going to the community college counselor once my mom has time to drive me over.

Black outs have limited my ability to get places. Hell i cant even remember last night and i wasnt doing drugs or drinking.

Drying cars does sound like a good idea for extra cash but im trying to find a career. Especially one that doesnt interfere my ehler danlos syndrom
