Sorry to hear about R. J.

    RIP

I stayed with Sundance when he was put down. It was a gentle death. I scratched his neck and ears and spoke to him softly as he drifted away. Very peaceful.

Know that you gave RJ a gift.

Baby Kitty still won't let anyone touch her but she plays with my fingers on the edge of the bed; and she doesn't mind making herself at home on my pillows, either.

Baby kitty will always be semi-feral Aeri...you just didn't get to her in time.
I know it sucks to think, but all the animal behavior experts agree on this.
If you don't get to handle them in time they are all but impossible to completely domesticate.
Kudos for getting her in the house and mellow though, is she still using the litter box?

Yes, Baby Kitty uses the litter box and plays with the other cats. She slaps my hand when we play. I still have faith she will come around.

I had a pair of Carolina island calicos that were born feral and on their own enough to be out looking for food about the size of Baby. Carolina island cats have been feral on the barrier islands since they jumped ship in the 1600s. Tiger became so 'tame' that she not only would ride in the car, but would insist that you sat with her as she had her kittens or she would follow you around the house dropping kittens as she went. Don't give up on Baby.

    That's an awesome story, Ranger!

Baby Kitty is coming around. I see her progress. I am patient. What alternative do I have, lol.

Oh, yes! Now I remember you telling me about the shrimp, Ranger! I'll have to keep that in mind because I have 3 6 month old ferals hanging around outdoors at my house.

I'm kind of afraid that Momma Kitty met her peril somehow. I haven't seen her and last week my husband heard a little kitten yelling really loud. It's one that she had in August. He went down the street to where Momma Kitty has her litters and saw the baby. It wouldn't let him close.

We haven't seen or heard the kitten or Momma Kitty in over a week.

    I do too, Ty.

I'm not giving up hope. She may reappear yet.

Thunder Cat came home! He's been gone since the first week in August!

He's acting really "wild" and skittish but he knew where to come when he got hungry!

I was incorrect. It's a different cat now that I've seen him in daylight.

Sounds to me like TC or Mama Cat put a hobo mark 'eats here' on your doorway.
