    Thanks Lynn.

I remember when we had to take Willow to the ballpark last year and it made him seem sick too.

This afternoon I started this baby on a little kitten antibiotic I had, gave him some kayro syrup and water at his last feeding, woke him up this time for formula which he really sucked down fast since he hadn't had that in 8 hours. He's knocked out again, lol.

I am calling him "Mister Kitty" and spelling it Myster. His mother was Mystic.

Gosh, I hope Trouble comes home okay tomorrow.

I had to wake Myster to feed him, which means he is still tired, but he ate 6 medicine droppers full of formula! I couldn't believe it! lol Needless to say, his belly is full and he is sleeping some more.

Hubby went down back and called for Trouble. Several of our indoor/outdoor males came up out of the woods but not Trouble. He came back to the house and was telling me about it when suddenly Trouble appeared at the door!

It's a happy day in Crazy Cat Lady Land.

    YAY Aeri! :hurray:

All of that is such good news!

Bane is beautiful...he looks like an old soul.

I love the rocks edging that bed.

    Thank you, Lynn!

Not only is that my cat, lol, those are my rocks too. My son finally decided that my place looked pretty good and we've kind of tied the front beds together. I had leftover rocks from way back when I did mine so he used them at his place.

I think the kitten has a bot fly larva in him.

Hubby has to look closely. He will have to remove it. I can't.

Edit- He says it's already out. I was seeing the empty hole.

Hubby says the bot fly larva is coming out now.

It isn't out far enough. The kitten is already squealing when he tries to get it out with tweezers.

He put more vaseline on to suffocate it more. Hopefully it will come out more and he can grab it.

All I can do is hold the kitten with my eyes shut.

    :yikes:

I felt like a dang vet asst when I started giving the outside cats their rabies shot. Now that Princess is here and only Princess...I won't be doing that. Henceforth, I will be more than happy to put her in a cage and takr her to get her yearly shot.

that being said...holding that kitten would be all I would be able to do in your situation. He will probably begin to feel a lot better now. but...

    THAT SOUNDS AWFUL

    :yikes:

I hope hubby can get it.

Our friends lost a kitten even after getting the damn thing out.

I wish I was better in these situations.

    I hate being squeamish.

I know exactly what you are saying there. I despise it when I can't do something because I can't handle it mentally. I got over it to a certain degree because I watched that vet give so very many shots for several years. That is the only way I was able to do it, and knowing I had to get those cats their shots.

This is another ball of wax.

I compare my inability to do something because of a mental hang-up/problem is how I can just barely drive 25 miles out of town. lol I laugh to keep from :bigcry:

    Keep us updated.

Hubby can't get it because every time he gets near it with the tweezers it jerks back into the hole in the kitten.

    Hubby is crying now.

I just put the kitten back to bed with his water bottle.

We will take it to the vet early in the morning. I have a doc appt. at 11:00. We don't have money for both. He is going to ask the vet if they will treat the kitten and let us pay them on the 3rd. I doubt they will. We will pay to have the kitten treated or put down and then I'll cancel my doc appt. They will still want to charge me for cancelling late but I can't pay that if I don't have it.

I'm ready to get out of the cat business.

We took the kitten, Lil' Myster, to the vet where Piper goes because my daughter has her Care Credit card on file there and I could use it.

They got that son of a bitch "Wolf Worm" Bot Fly Larva out of my baby!

    They only charged $20!

    I'm so thankful!

    There's another kitten here now.

    It was left on Friday.

One of the ferals, named Collar Kitty, is her mother.

That cat has done nothing but scream and hide from us since the first time it came running to me on Friday afternoon.

I saw it around the food bowl and I put out some kitten formula for it but the loud mewing has been incredible.

It's mother is not coming back for it.

So now we have 8 kittens including Myster.

Yep, I'm going to take them all to the Humane Society sometime this week (all except Myster).

I know you must be going through hell, Aeri. You have to do what you have to do though.

Earlier today as I was sitting here on the computer, I heard Mama go out the back door and I didn't get up and go check on the door like she is a child...which was my mistake.

Maybe 30 minutes had passed and I went to the kitchen (where the back door is) and damn if the door wasn't wide open. [IMG] :wall:

Of course my precious Brownie Brown was still here inside but BB wasn't! I admit to having a fit. I went looking and looking and looking, hollering and looking. Finally I go to the backyard...the back door opens onto the porch which goes to the back yard. Mama was standing there and said - BB is here in the backyard. Apparently she hadn't yet found the "secret" places to slip out under the fence.

So I got her in, fed her some special meat and I'm now having an alcoholic drink.

Good grief. I THINK I've learned this time - no matter what I'm doing or what time it is...when I hear Mama going out the door my ass is going in there immediately and making sure the damn door is closed/locked. That door has ALWAYS had to be locked. Closing it is not enough.

edit: I did initially look in the back yard, but BB was obviously in hiding at that time.

I have caught four feral kittens today and will driving them to The Atlanta Human Society in the morning. That's free owner surrender, no kill facility.

That's exactly what I've been calling him.

Unfortunately, I misread the message from a friend wanting me to surrender them to The Atlanta Humane Society. They charge $40 per animal for owner surrender.

I'll be taking them to my local animal control shelter. My local Humane Society doesn't take any owner surrenders; they get all their pets from Animal Control.

I just got back from taking 4 kittens to animal control. They made me feel like an idiot, kind of, because I hadn't gotten the feral mothers yet.

Yes, I know I have to stop feeding my cats outside so the ferals don't eat and they will be hungry enough to go in the trap. I know.

But you people don't know that I've had at least 20 feral cats spayed/neutered.

I'm doing a great job. Shut up.
