Yeah, if I HAD to have snake, I'd definitely choose a King Snake. They very often look almost exactly like a venomous snake but aren't...but Aeri is right. They kill venomous snakes. :)

Sassy is right at 11 weeks old now. She weighs 1lb 14oz.

I'm so glad I took her into the vet. She is very lethargic.

Her temperature was low. It was only 92F and it's supposed to be 99F at the very lowest. They immediately got out the heating pad for her.

She's got an upper respiratory infection with the conjuntivitis. The vet says if you see conjuntiviis then there is always a respiratory infection. He said to continue giving her the Terramycin ointment in her eyes. Amoxicillin was given to me to give at home.

She got a Vitamin/Iron gel that I will give at home.

She had blood drawn and in FIV Negaitve.

No worms were seen today but I've seen them at home so they gave her a Worm Treatment there.

They also gave her a Capstar for the fleas.

Additionally, she received a sub-cutaneous Fluid Injection for dehydration.

My poor baby. Too much hit her at once.

I'm going out of town tomorrow and hubby will take care of her and give her meds while I'm away.

She's a lucky cat! And you're lucky to get out of town for awhile!

I hope you enjoy some time away... I'll be here :)

How are all the animals doing at your place Aerianne?

Things are going well here at the home for the wayward...

That stripey cat keeps sleeping on the porch but will not come near anyone...

My bundle of joy the rescue Torti has made herself Queen of the house... I call her Natufia.

Do you every clip a cats nails?

    My cats are well.

Sassy has responded very well to her antibiotics. The other 12 indoor cats are great.

The 12 outdoor, semi-feral, cats look very much tired of the extreme heat. They aren't flea treated so they are extra miserable.

Emma my dog is doing great. She goes back and forth from the porch to the a/c during the day.

I never clip my cats nails except for one cat I had whose claws would catch in the carpet as she walked.

I can imagine hand bathing a wild tiger before I can imagine clipping any of the cat's claws here. :yikes:

I'm not even able to look at my sweetest baby's gums (Brownie Brown) without significant trouble and usually trauma - mostly trauma to me. lol

We've got some cats like that, and then we have some who are more docile.

Those must be some of those trained Japanese cats.

I've made cat condos but they don't all stay in there at once.
