Its monday and the put the clock an hour back was this weekend. I'm feeling it..!

last year the lake was already melted at edges by now and dangerous in spots to even walk....but this year theres still trucks booting across with no problems

This is beautiful lol and the same with me and my girl. She has books smarts I have street smarts. If someone wanna throw down in the street one day with multiplications and... Maths... She's got me covered. On the other if we are in the middle of suburbia, she can look at a map all day long but it's me and my real life experience that's going to pull us out out of the maze. She knows the theory, theoretically if she turns here she's going the right way.. In theory. In her mind. But my sense of direction is better. I can be in a dark room and I'm not sure how I do it but ask me to face north and I'll do it, so in that sense my street smarts are better than hers. Now put them both together and we're a pretty confident, compatible and able team.... But we still bicker along the way because both our senses just are conflicting which makes it all the more interesting really.

We did this the the other day through a university campus she's reading signs because you know, written words are gospel to her, words are knowledge and knowledge lights the way. That's not how I see it. To me words and signs are for idiots! And the best way to get through the campus was to trudge through it, get lost and explore on the way. So she's reading signs. Her phone is out, she's rotating 360° to see which way she's facing on the map. See that's all no sense to me. So I said come on just walk, I know the sense of direction you just have to walk.. So we did and I made it all up as we walked but I got us there.

And also like finding a toilet. She looks for signs. She google maps for public toilets. I say, just go in that building there. My sense tells me there's toilets in every building, it is like the law lol. But no, there's no sign to state this. So I go in and BAM toilet right there..

i have decent windows.
tomorrow is doors, and the garage window.
the installers are great, dude, dudes son, and dudes son in law. dudes wife swung by too, she helps with the finishing stuff. and then the project manager swung by, and i made a point to tell him the only thing i have not appreciated so far was the pushy front-end sales stuff. the gutters went fine, great crew. this part seems to be going just fine too. crew has been awesome. talked about all sorts of stuff. gardening, homeschooling.

im still very agitated, but im glad its already so much better. its so quiet, and its warmer even without kicking the heat on (im trying to see how long i can last with it off, its chilly and drizzling outside)
now i must smoke, and make dinner.

 

aaaand the allure of the caulk was too much for these kids. thats going to have to be redone. damnit.

 

all the windows need replaced in this house. Ive 2 outa 24. haha. fuck it.

 

I got all my yard work to do this weekend. Yay. Not! I'm already sore from all the walking and stuff on weekend the thought of getting up on ladders and hedge trimming kind of sucks. On the other hand I'll be in my flannels and cowboy hat, which will make me feel good. But not the hedging, last year I was bouncing on the wheel bin to crunch leaves in and I completely fell off it, didn't hurt myself. I'll be toking my hydro to make it more fun this time around.

 

oh ya same here...windows are a lost cause....easier to just live with them at this point

 

today was nice here..got lots done

can still walk around the yard but in a day or 2 its going to start getting muddy instead of frozen in the plowed areas

 

Ill board the windows up and paint a window.. Ive this idea for the dormers but havent gotten up there yet. be a heat issue in the summer, but im beginning not to care anyway .. hornets and wasp can live up there by the millions I dont ever use the atitcs for anything.

 

Attics, they're only good ghosts. though I dunno why they up in the attic of all places. If I'm haunting I'm gone be on the couch beside you, and you're gonna see my reflection in the television. With my big long cold ass tongue in they ear and when they look I'm gone be seeya! And disappear.

 

these attics was once living spaces . there are gas lines that go to them. one has a nice view over the river, that only 100yards away over the tracks. if anything id ever make that attic a living space. heat rises. ya can see all the way across the river to downtown .
I really need to knock off the chimney tops and break them down thru the house, and rebuild the roof.. I just may tho.
