well, being a pre-vet student I'm gonna have to say that was appauling. Why do we need that information? I'd love to hear the statement of a problem for that experiment..."duuhh...the problem is that we wanna see a cat on acid, and maybe people will stop taking acid..."
What the hell was the point of that test? They always test animals and they freak out just to make the drug look bad... At least in my opinion, they do that... Terrible! I have also seen such cruelty in a video where a guy gets a turtel to latch onto a joint and smoke it! What the hell is wrong with people these days?!
:troll: What fuckin level of dosage could prompt such a reaction? And what would that prove anyway? That a thousand doses are bad? Poor Kitty.
Tell you what, while I'd never dose an animal with anything, my friend has an awesome puffer fish toy, that tokes damn good on a spliff! We never managed to get it stoned yet, but when we're high enough sometimes it seems like he is
It's more complex then that. The cat was having seizures. That means they gave it WAY too much especially since it was acid. I've read that cats require the lowest dose of lsd in scale to it's brain size to be at a normal dose, at least out of any animal they've tested with it yet. Fucked up yes, but there is not much that can be done about it.
^ true. Btw why i had some friends that got a turtle high once, and it started walking around and couldn't keep its balance, or its head up. It was so fucking funny. They also took that same turtle and stuck its head in a snaping turtles mouth, and it clunched down on it. Suprisingly it didn't leave a mark on the turtle, or even appear to harm it! I should have painted a big S on it's chest after that because he erned it.
I guess if the turtel enjoyed it... But, I still feel sorry for him... The poor thing might have had the trip of his life!
Actually that cat was probably so fucked up that it didn't even know that it, or anything else existed.
ya it really doesnt make sense to do that. isnt the whole diffrence between animals and humans something to do with consciousness...so wouldnt that mean that the effects of a psychedelic drug on a human would be much much different than a cat? Seriously...
Wait a minute dude, the video says the cat is on mescaline, not LSD at the start of the movie... Still, pretty intesne and cruel to a cat!
so how do u guys feel about the lab mice that experienced the medium lethal dose of LSD? if it wasnt for those important experiments we wouldnt know the LD-50 of LSD in mice, which happens to be 12,000 ug ... imagine how the 50% of the mice feel who didnt die...
