This is incorrect. We must hate evil and love good. Its when we hate good and love evil that horrible atrocities like the NAZI Holocaust (resulting in over 6 million innocent people being killed) or the Abortion Holocaust occur (resulting in over 1 million innocent people being killed each year in the USA and over 50 million worldwide). Jesus Christ loving the world brought him lots of suffering and misery. He endured much misery to make salvation possible. Likewise, when a young mom does the right thing and loves her baby (as opposed to murdering him/her) she must endure misery in doing so to some extent.
I'm not indulging in this anymore. JD4U You have an open invitation to have a dialogue with me through PMs here, MSN, any chat room, or even the phone. I hope you'll take me up on this. Thanks to all and goodnight.
Anyone who claims that its justifiable for a mom to murder her baby boy or girl so she can have an easier time going after a degree so she can teach English to some kids in a Godless publik skool AND AT THE SAME TIME CLAIMS that they know and trust Jesus for their salvation is not a member of the Body of Christ. Because no one who knows Christ personally would ever claim that its somehow OK to murder a baby just because it makes their life easier or more convenient. Romans 3:8 And [why] not [say,] "Let us do evil that good may come"? -- as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just.
Great point! All we really have this side of our gathering together at the rapture of the Body of Christ is a person's claim.
Okay, maybe I'll indulge a little more...Chance who said anything about murdering a little boy or girl? Oh, and by the way tell me if you know this one...Let he who hast not sinned cast the first stone. Or what about Matthew 7:1? These are the words of JESUS. No one said it's okay for someone to have abortions out of convenience. Not even the atheists or agnostics have said this. You sir have twisted words and given a false representation of what this was about in the first place. Let me ask you this...As a Christian how many sick people have you helped or prayed for lately? How many poor people have you helped? Have you bitten your tongue when someone was rude to you? This is what Jesus tells me to do. I am not someone who claims to know Jesus. I AM A CHRISTIAN. I don't mince words. Neither should you.
This is a whole separate topic you bring up, ...but the Bible is not black and white, and this is exactly the problem with having CBN as the network of Christianity. That is your view, JDFU. As far as I can tell, faith and doubt go hand in hand. A healthy faith includes some uncertainty, otherwise it is just unquestioning and following a person, no matter what they say. Even the disciples had doubts about Jesus' identity and mission. Scripture is not simple, and I have spent the past two years of my life trying to become a "Bible" expert. It's impossible, because there are so many layers, and so many stories and histories of interpretation. I am just saddened by the fact that a network that is supposed to be spreading the gospel only serves to sow seeds of hatred in my heart. Jesus Christ was aiming to do the opposite, no?
The death of 3,000+ terrorists in Iraq is a great achievement. The death of 3,000+ innocent and defenseless baby boys/girls EACH DAY in the USA is a ginormous atrocity. And for your sodoMentality: 1 Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Timothy 1:9-10 But we know that the law [is] good if one uses it lawfully, 9 knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for [the] lawless and insubordinate, for [the] ungodly and for sinners, for [the] unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, 2 Peter 2:6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned [them] to destruction, making [them] an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; Jude 1:7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Okay, fair enough Chance. Here's the deal. Please answer my question about Matthew 7:1 and explain to me about what Jesus said about casting the first stone. Then I'll answer all of your scriptures. But, since I posted mine first I think it's only fair for you to answer mine. BTW Namecalling is not only unChristian but it's a poor debate tactic. Oh, and if you think Iraq is truly about killing terrorists you my friend need to wake up and smell the gun powder.
haha... no You are just on here an awful like... I thought perhaps you may mention it occasionally... what station are you... (I used to live about 20 minutes from you)
All we have is your claim, no matter how strenuously you argue that you are a "Christian". Why are you asking about my good works? You really think its a good idea to compare what you've done with what I've done? If you allow for murdering babies at all, then there is nothing that would logically prohibit outlawing abortion on demand, which is what Roe vs Wade made legal. Abortion on demand all the way through birth. If you want justice then you will defend the innocent preborn and call for criminal convictions and fitting punishment for anyone who calls for, attempts or successfully murders an innocent baby. Jesus taught how to judge in Matt 7. You would know this if you would read through the 5th verse. What is preventing you from reading past the first verse or two? I mean, other than your strong desire to imagine Jesus teaching that its wrong to judge anyone? That's what you believe He is teaching there right? Here is what He said, read it carefully. Matthew 7:1-5 "Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 "For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 "And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank [is] in your own eye? 5 "Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. Here is what Jesus taught broken down in even simpler language. Step 1: Remove the log from your own eye. Step 2: Once that log is removed, judge your brother and help remove the speck from his eye. Jesus taught HOW to judge rightly in this passage. He did the same in John 7:24. John 7:24 "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." On top of that, we have what our apostle Paul taught concerning judging within the Body of Christ. 1 Cor 6:2-5 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 4 If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? 5 I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? Those in the Body of Christ have been commanded to judge. And what Jesus said in John 8 is not a guideline for those in the Body of Christ to live by. The Pharisees wanted to accuse Jesus of rebelling against the Roman Empire: This [the Pharisees] said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. John 8:6 Rome had revoked the Jews' authority to put a criminal to death (John 18:31). A straight-forward answer to the Pharisees would have brought Jesus into premature conflict with Rome before His "hour had come." Jesus solved this problem stating, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first" (John 8:7). Christ often frustrated the Pharisees giving clever answers that thwarted their wicked intentions (Mat. 22:15-22; 21:21-27; Mark 12:13-17; Luke 20:20-26).
Our troops don't intentionally kill any innocent children. Every abortionist intentionally kills an innocent child.
I explained those passages. Awaiting your response to the passages I referenced So, then, are you calling God and the prophets and apostles "unChristian" since they called people names? Or do you think its fine for them to call people names, but its just not OK for me to do so?
We are commanded NOT to judge. What Jesus is saying in that verse is if you judge people and you aren't sinless you haven't the right. I read the verse. You talk about things being in black and white yet you twist them to make them say whatever your pastor wants them to say. Why would Christ say let he who hath no sin cast the first stone? In John 7 Jesus is talking to the crowd about deciding on whether or not he is the Messiah. It's hardly the same thing as someone telling someone else they're not a Christian. Again, to see Jesus is giving people the right to judge other people by this verse is taking the whole verse out of context. In Corinthians (Again please read the whole chapter) Paul is speaking about disputes between Christians. He's not speaking about sending people to hell. He's saying let other Christians handle the disputes before going to heathen judges. Again context. In no way are we commanded to go out and start sending people to hell. He was talking about LAWSUITS. Once again...Context, context, context. Nowhere does it say Jesus was doing this to put more time on his side. He told the men not to harm her unless they haven't sin. After the mob left he told the woman he wouldn't condemn her. Go and don't sin again. Read the WHOLE chapter.
