I fully realize there are many things that science has not as yet explained, and maybe never will. My only issue is with people stating things as fact that have not been proven in any way. I don't mean lab tests by big research firms, I mean respect for the simple fact that reality exists as an absolute, and our whims cannot alter it. Our wishing something were true is not enough to make it so, if there is no indication of it in actual reality.

    Reality is anything but absolute.

It's certainly absolute enough that it can't be changed by a blind assertion. You're the one who said that 'reality is very real'. This is what I mean by a mindset of contradiction.

Reality is so incredibly complex that our understanding is like a grain of sand in a desert compared to the total amount of understanding that can possibly be had.

Reality is absolute. But what we know as reality does not reflect ABSOLUTE reality, only the reality of being human. Usually of tons of social conditioning, negative emotions, or many other factors that keep us from expanding our reality beyond the average person's.

We do not understand the reality of existing without a brain. Or existing as a plant. We don't completely understand the mind, thought, or existence. We look at the past and laugh at people using "magick", but you dont' realize that soon enough people will laugh at us because of our very naive ways of thinking and existing.

Our definition of reality is simply the best thing we have. Doesn't make it even the least bit true.
