It could have been relevant if you see Sheen as putting the pro-drug movement back several decades with his inability to handle his business... Beyond that, I'm at a loss.

Actually Sheen by his own account seems to be able to snort enough to either cause a normal person to have a stroke, or a massive heart attack.

Exactly. How many times has anyone heard a celebrity state that the horseshit being spread by tabloids and celebrity "news" shows is simply not true? "Dr.Phil's gay weekend in Hawaii", "Charlie Sheen crashes car off cliff."

Those outlets live for this kind of material and when a celebrity shows any sign of wrecklessness they take it and run, fabricate things, etc. More than half of the things said or printed about him probably aren't true.

The shit that comes out of his mouth is likely for just for shits and giggles. He's taped himself sitting around with friends having a good time, etc. I highly doubt he's as alone and burnt out as some will claim. Before Two and a half men people could take him or leave him, he certainly wasn't very funny. Now not only is he everywhere, everyday, but he's also hilarious. Coincidence? I doubt it. He's used the situation to create a bigger name and appeal for himself.

Interesting too how he didn't start saying obscure, wacky things until after people started reporting that he was mentally defective in some form or another. Coincidence?

 

I think half of the fans will loose their interest in this show.

 

I assume the only reason anyone really watched that show was to see Charlie Sheen play Charlie Sheen, minus the cocaine binges. The neurotic brother wasn't funny and the cliche apathetic child role has been beaten to death by sitcoms for decades.

No Charlie, no show.

I think Warner Brothers has a lot of nerve to fire Charlie Sheen.

They have done nothing but riff his life on Two and a Half Men for five or six years now. Charlie plays Charlie. Warts and all.

Perhaps for Sheeen it became too much: the line, between his on-air persona and his real life became blurred. Delusions of granduer set in.

With each of Charlies public mis-steps; the publicity drove huge numbers of new fans to Two and a Half Men, the ratings jumped and newer and younger generations of fans were introduced to Charlie Sheen. The advertizers loved it as the young male demographic flocked to the show.

It became a vicious cycle of scandal, neilson ratings boost, and scandal again. Warners Bros was tut-tuting all the way to the bank with cynical statements of "concern" as Charlies lifestyle continued to be a huge billboard for the Show.

Now its over, Charlie tossed to the side, with years of episodes in the can for re-runs. A previous poster stated the relative aging off Charlie and The Kid. I do not see the show continuing. I hope Charlie gets a new gig soon.

He does not appear any more irrational than anybody else. Beware the demonization of Charlie Sheen
