We just got a guy at work from Atlanta and I just introduced him to a Honeycrisp apple. I was appalled that he'd never had one. He said produce isn't really a big thing in Georgia. Is that true? Have you poor boys never eaten quality apples?

 

The dude's an idiot. Produce is HUGE in GA. At least, it is in rural areas. Georgia is the Peach State, afterall

As far back as I can remember, and before she died, my grandmother had multiple fruit and vegetable gardens, and the whole family would eat the fuck outta them shits.

 

Also, produce stands and farmer's markets are all over the place down here. Not to mention, honeycrisp apples are sold in grocery stores in the area too. Like I said, the dude's an idiot.

I'm appalled too. Dude must really hate Georgia AND be stupid. He also said the "Georgia Peach" thing was nothing special. I'm very happy you know what a honey crisp is. Ever heard of Sweet Tango? What's your favorite fruit?!?!

He told me I'm not missing anything in GA. I really wish I had a fruit bearing tree. I'm trying to convince my mom. But ya buy one and then you might as well but two and then..

Shit, GA has a lot of cool shit to offer. ATL is an awesome city. Sure, it has it's shitty areas, but there is a lot to be seen and experienced in ATL, as well as other parts of GA. Also, Athens, GA is ranked #8 in the top 10 college party cities in the country. There are SO many bars and SO many drugs. It's crazy.
