i like when it's gross and rainy on fridays, i have no class and it encourages me to stay home and do homework

 

got my doctors appointment today he said he wants me to come in to check my blood pressure, is that a doctor looking for a few extra bucks or does he care about my health? i mean if the blood pressure was such a problem why wait a month to check it again. i will give him another chance i guess but if he takes my blood pressure then says oh its ok see you next month...i wont see him next month, maybe i spent to much time with my car repairmen. (not trusting either of them)

Did you have some kind of preexiaitimg condition Whig led you to start having your blood pressure taken regulary by te doc? Are you on new medication? Have a possible negative health condition? If no to all these your doc is likely beig overcautious with you and/or wants your dolla dolla bills....

 

don't you guys have free blood pressure machines in every drug store like they have here?

 

Yeah, I don't actually want it to have his name. Hopefully he'll be out of office and out of the news before the next chat thread ends anyway.

 

Lol I bet especially for you and edgy and hedgeand the others who are relatively close. Honestly here in the dirty south I'd be hard pressed to find anyone who even knows tht Toronto isn't like. Chocolate bar or something. Lol maybe not that bad but for sure people hve no clue about rob fOrds shenanigans. Even though torOnto is biggest canadian city I believe? I liked it when I was there. I am a man of polar opposites when it comes to city vs countryside I want rural as duck or metropolis. Sadly for most of y life I've lives in the burbs of various locations. But then again I kinda like that too

When this first started, if he would have sat down with a real journalist and done an hour long interview, he could have gotten it all out in the open and moved on. Seems to me that the lies are more of a problem than the behaviour.

i went for a pain in my side, the called me and said every thing came back normal but i am not sure of every test taken so thats the only reason i am going back. no medication and i am hesitant to take any if they say i need some for my blood pressure.

i did and then i moved to delmarva and joined the backwoods of the states. so now i have no free blood pressure machines. and like i said above i am only going back because i want to find out if the other stuff is something to worry about being that it ison the list of family related diseases.

 

blood pressure is an important indicator of vascular health. mine is checked every time i see a doctor. i do have a condition that makes it important to check (i just cant afford to go to the doc right now) but even when i was a kid, i always had it checked. its a very basic diagnostic tool. ask for an itemized receipt and see how much just that costs. height, weight, temperature, blood pressure. the doctor will be in to see you shortly.

 

well this is among my first time visiting a doctor as an adult so i am new but the first visit had an itemized list from the insurance company so i am not worried about that. i have the same medical center as my mom she says that they check your blood pressure, weight, and temperature every time she has gone in there, i have to think thats their routine. i just might have to make a call on what constitutes preventive care though is all.

 

ah. brave new world of adult healthcare. i would say BP checks out for preventative, because it is such a useful diagnostic tool. at the same time, it works better if you have lots of data. if you are new to the doctor they will want to find out what is normal for you. then they can see when it changes.

you do need to ask questions. my condition can be fixed, its just not approved here. so i am taking the next best path, using medication to inhibit my thyroid. the only other thing i could do is have it removed or destroyed by radiation, and i would have no choice but to take medications forever. by leaving it in, it might eventually balance out, and i can get off meds, or the treatment will become approved, and i can have it fixed. but its a balance. you have to make the decisions for your health now. do your research.
