That cut I had that I said was healing slow is finally pretty much all sealed up. I am gonna keep it covered over the weekend just to make sure my clothes rubbing on it does not agrivate it and open it back up.

Jeopardy and Wheel Fortune are about the only game shows left on TV. The rest of it is just reality TV and TV shows made to look like reality. That amazes me they still write scripts and everything but insist on implying it's for real. But if you pay attention the angles never make any sense for a on the fly shooting and the stories are just too ridiculous.

I just spent hours on end (after work) helping my precious extended granddaughter try to unmat her hair.

OHMYLORD! I've never seen anything so bad...it made us want to cry and then laugh and then I don't know what...she wound up coming down here - I originally met her at her grandmother's house (long-time acquaintance/friend) - so we could work more and I would cut using my shears.

Lord, when I cut into the mats thinking OPTIMISTICALLY they would more easily come out, I surely was wrong...the hair had been coated with oil and everything. One hair dresser even suggested vaseline.

Anyway, I'm eventually going to give her a pixie cut, but we've just got to keep it wrapped and let the oil pull some of that out. For what its worth, her hair/head has a nice shape to what we've done so far, which is WAY better than it was initially.

Before letting me know what shape she had let her hair get to, she tried to work with it a week (she admitted) and then went to a hair stylist this week and said even the hair stylist said she'd never seen a head of hair that had gotten to that point. :-O

Poor thing...she has a 5 month old, she and her fiance have just moved and etc etc. Her hair is, no WAS about waist length and curly doesn't even describe it. She won't let it ever get like this again, but dearGOD having to deal with it now is sort of turning into a nightmare.

Anyway, I just had to say that...and wonder if anybody knows of any tricks to untangle really badly matted hair...besides using good herbal (thick) oil, baby oil and etc. Conditioner does less than no good. So right now she is just letting it stay wrapped up in oil and will be picking it regularly throughout every day, and keeping it coated with good oil....it'll just take a little time, I think. We'll be getting up together every few days. Worse of all is that she is really tender headed. :-( (or I'd be yanking through that stuff enough to make that long pixie cut :D )

    Just for the record...

In 1995 I completed cosmetology school - yet another educational venture I completed with excellent grades and I get to use for my own and friend's benefit. lol...I discovered before the end of my 1200 hours of completed school, (about hour 1150) I had such bad carpel tunnel that my hands and fingers would go numb after working on the floor after about 3 hours. oh well...but still I retain my knowledge and do friend's favors...as well as my own color. :)

Well it is one of the few things that grow back when you cut it.

A week ago I had 5 inches cut off my hair. It still hangs to the middle of my back. I have to be able to brush my hair a couple times a day or I would go nuts. I get it cut a couple times a year. It still always grows back.

Trying to maintain combed hair makes me frequently consider that the shit clearly didn't evolve to stay un-matted, and should clearly be allowed to lock, for sanity's sake.

I keep it in a tight ponytail, so I can go quite a while between full-on de-tangling, but by the time I realize it needs it, it makes for a hell of a shower.

I have several dramatically shorter parts, where it tried to fuck around with me and I prevailed.

i dyed mine purple in highschool. it was very vibrant... at first. it was a temporary dye, and as it washed out it went lavender/ gray. looked kinda goofy for awhile. i believe it was Manic Panic brand, one of the dark purple colors. of course, that was like, 15 years ago that i did it, they may not have the same color or formula, even if i could remember which one i used.

mine was a really dark purple. like a rich jewel tone opulent purple. it was really pretty for a day or two.

i have about 4 railroad ties in the yard. im trying to decide if its worth reusing them for something, or if i should just get rid of them. it looks like 3 are creosote treated, one is questionable, and there are 1-2 partial pieces, maybe 3-4 feet long. can i seal or paint them? would they make a good shed foundation? they definitely cant stay where they are at now.
