I like typing...its texting on my dinosaur phone where you have to click/punch/whatever the number 4 times to get to the number, and 1 to 3 times to get whatever letter you're looking for that doesn't thrill me. Punctuation mark placements MUST be memorized or you might lose your mind trying to find the right one. lol...is that what has happened to me?

Really though, I'm happy enough with my phone...it costs me only the minutes I buy...no monthly fees...my kinda thing. :2thumbsup:

On my day off, I've completed my federal and state income tax forms and slept. I slept more than anything.

 

my phone has a slide-out qwerty keyboard. its sturdy too, ive dropped it a lot.

This morning 1 of my 2 outside cats, the tomcat (un-neutered!) woke me up, YOWLING with another cat...they went all over the yard (a fairly big yard). I finally got up since it sounded like a cat war was about to happen, put on shoes and a light jacket, and the intuder dashed away. gad. Sam just smiled at me and went and piss sprayed on a bush. lol

I almost stepped on a baby copper head with my sandals the other morning and I thought of you.

 

I have a pot of syrup almost done outside and another I just finished cooling on the stove.

.they say the syrup tastes different through the season and sure enough this last batch tastes different

more like taffy apples this time

 

Yeah, sandals are out of the question for me (everywhere - see below).

Even though I have In The Past loved the look of sandals and In The Past enjoyed wearing them, I've broken a total of 4 toes wearing the damn things...so, for safety's sake, I've sworn off those things.

And let us not forget what you so astutely remember - if you step on a snake with sandals it can bite you OVER and OVER!!!

Sorry to have yapped so much in my last post...about sandals and all.

I DO want to hear about that ^ experience! Did you watch it swiftly slink away? Did you kill it? Do you think that baby may be just one of several?!?

Did you know pit vipers (which copperheads are) give live birth and are subject to have LOTS of babies? lol food for thought

 

i was running through a park at night with some friends (sprinklers were coming on) and i was wearing (my favorite) leather sandals. the front edge of the sole stopped on a lip of concrete, and my foot kept on going. nearly de-balled my foot. too dark to see, but i know blood when i feel it. ruined the sandal of course. but pain like that sticks with you.

 

Sometimes I think the only way to live pain and accident free is to just sit around like a dainty princess (or prince), and do nothing without lots of attendants nearby. The attendants are not only to help you get dressed, etc but to catch you in case you stumble or (GODFORBID!) fall. lol

Edit: well, that would be the only way I wouldn't have had accidents, which have in turn caused pain.

 

It was amazingly still after myself and the 2 dogs had stepped all around it. It was still enough for hubs to come out of the house and to get a shovel and kill it.

We're a little confused about what it actually was. After he killed it and the mouth kept opening and closing, he didn't see any fangs.

copperheads, cottonmouths (water moccasins), rattlesnakes and coral snakes are the dangerous groups of snakes in the US. coral snakes you have to remember red first, like the blood of a bite. "red on yellow, kills a fellow. red on black, friend to Jack"

we mostly just have to worry about rattlesnakes out here.
