It ain't open...

 

sunny and warm this morning. we still have a lot of snow here, it is pretty much all gone at my parents' place.

picked up some new bud on the weekend. haven't tried the pink kush yet, but the og shark was really, really strong.

 

someone must have shut it for me.

 

upper 50's today, nice sunrise. rest of the week is supposed to be in the 70's.
i think the apple tree listened to me. i went out every day last week, and asked it to hold off blooming, until after the snow, and it did i suppose i should let it know that this will be a good week. cider in the fall, mmmmm.

 

im cleaning my room and i came across my jobs employee orientation book should i toss it?

 

who here eats bacon?

I don't like it if the bacon is cooked until it is stiff....if it doesn't flop over when holding it then its too cooked

Like I said in the "Does Gods Exist?" thread, Bacon is proof of God's existence and that God is good.:sunny:

heard on the radio from an amie ivy that apples wont grow on a branch sticking straight up....they will only grow on branches going sideways

i like bacon cooked just to the point of when it gets stiff. any more than that and its overcooked if it is floppy it is under-cooked but if its only slightly floppy its an acceptable level of being under-cooked

i will watch it this year. its a couple of branches from my neighbor's tree that hang over the fence. the back to eden guy prunes the verticals too. i kinda hate the presentation, but the concept seems sound, and it would be pretty awesome if his methods work for me. it is so dry here, and its so much clay. it needs so much organic material. thats one reason raised beds do well, they warm up faster, sure, but the real trick is that people decided what went into them. it gets heavily amended with compost and peat or coconut husks, manure... its hard to grow anything in just the clay.

i think ive decided on trying to grow a pair of cherry trees. south eastern corner of the front yard. i will plant them 3 feet apart, and arbor craft them together over time. also 2 fruit trees on either side of the front walkway. the front yard will be my food forest. berries, fruit trees, herbs... and im putting the asparagus out there too. in a few years, i will be "that crazy garden lady"

I should not have dragged all the wood to my front door to chop this winter...there is probably a thousand pounds of debris ,20 wheelbarrows at least,and sawdust now that I gotta rake up....way too much too just leave on the ground
