we managed to catch a break today...kid still in custody but back in court in 2 days for pretrial,and hopeful release...the popo in my town expressed their concerns over the feasibility of my son coming home because they are about out of patience...which means maybe he has to live off campus for a spell

the facility is a small house with a big pool table and real food...he will be ok for as long as he is there....they told me the facility is the best in ontario and is not for kids that are criminals...its for kids that have been criminalized

Well that may very well be but to throw in the towel is something that is really hard to do when you are a parent.

It also comes down to maturing and most parents hang on to the hope that given a little time it will happen. We also remember being teens and sometimes the only reason we did not get into trouble was luck as we did not get caught.

It probably will not hurt his son to have to be a little uncomfortable and he may learn a little from that but I have a feeling that it is going to be harder for Rolling to sit and see that happen than for his son to have to do it.

Our kids are our kids, no matter what their age is. Hard to turn it off, even if we want to.

 

You wouldnt want to be locked up on xmas. Thats when the church people come and annoy the entire block with singing and giving out cookies. Its horrible..

try to remember he is still deep in the throws of ptsd from being brutally stabbed..most of his charges stem from the time immediately after that happened ...and having 30 small charges doesnt equal any big charges. ...when you are a parent you kinda are in it for the long haul and we all have 20 20 hind sight....my mom is 82 and she still attempts to protect me....thats what family should be like......the other thing is that he hates when i discuss him here so i do not post often about him .....but...he has impeccable hygeine and perfect manners so i'm told that at least i managed to instill that into him
