I'm was tempted to post in another thread, got my brain to think ahead (for once) and came here instead. lol My thoughts on flu shots are: at this point in the year, I wouldn't even briefly considering getting a flu shot...even though I've been sicker more often in the past 3 months than I have in many years. Between it getting spring and my immunity system finally appearing to kick in some, flu shots are something I can consider and turn down around Oct '14. :2thumbsup:

My chiropractor really seems to know what he is doing. The results are almost amazing.

Has anybody ever heard of a nerve causing pain/ache in one's chest?

The last thing he did today was have me stand up against a wall. He crossed my arms at chest level over each other and told me to look down/keep my head down. He sort of squeezed and/or lifted me up a bit...and we both heard a pop.

Then it didn't feel good or bad, really - but I'd say it felt better than not.

Now, not feeling the pains/aches I was persistently feeling is simply amazing. This man might get my body to forget how old it is. ;)

Tornado sirens went off at 1am this morning. Will have to check the news later to hear if one went by here.

a 16 month old child died of the flu in the hospital here in town a month or two ago. sad.

That guy I posted out who was a mouth-painter also died of the flu, which he picked up while in the hospital for pneumonia.

I can only eat certain things when I first get up. A bagel with cream cheese is okay, but I can't eat eggs unless I've been up for an hour or two already. Oatmeal works too... but I don't really like it, I just eat it to put something in my stomach.

I've been trying to hold off on coffee until after 9am lately because I find it gives me more of an energy boost a bit later in the morning.

I should add that I have no will power and almost always end up drinking coffee earlier. It is just so fucking delicious.

I almost bailed on the front steps to the apartment this morning when I took the dog out for a walk. Our landlord leaves a bag of sand/salt mixture by the front door, so I spread some of that around on my way back in.

I was planning on taking the bus up to the school to do some work in the library, but it's so gross that I think I'll just stay home today.

I drink enough of it that it doesn't really affect me like that anymore. I'll avoid it if I'm having a panic attack at the time obviously, but it doesn't ever bring it on for me.

I live in an apartment building, so no basement here. You are supposed to go to an interior room with no windows. The only room that qualifies is the bathroom. I went in there briefly but went back to bed when the siren stopped. It was not the siren near my home but one on the east side of the city.

I have gotten the flu shot for several years now since I have been a caregiver to my parents. I have never had the flu but would not want to be party to giving it to others.

We got rain and thunder overnight. Still a lot of ice around for walking and street parking. I hope that goes away before Sunday when we go back below freezing.
