Don't worry about losing a fast food job. They expect you to quit after a year or two max. HR has already decided you are not worth the investment, so why should you invest anything in them. Companies like McDonalds run on a high turn over model. And if you want to do it again Burger King does not talk to Wendy's, there is always a new job.

But you should use this time to find work that will pay the bills, let you move out of mom's house. In other words a career and not a job.

i have felt that that is bs for a LONG time. the summer solstice is MID-summer in my opinion. just because a calendar says something doesnt make it true.

the calendar labels are just fine for anyone who is not in tune with the seasons, but it bugs me whenever they are like 'its not summer yet, but look at these temperatures' on the news. doesnt it make more sense that the longest day is in the middle, the Height of summer? that the longest night be the middle point of winter? that the equinoxes be the balance in the middle of the balance seasons?

it just seems silly to me, but what i think is not what most people think, so i generally just keep my mouth shut.

im actually planning to mark the solstice sun in my yard, since it only shines into my kitchen in the summer. i thought when we moved in that i wouldnt get any sun in my kitchen at all, all winter it was very dark.

i know you have trouble with staying focused on reading, but i think if you made an effort you could still have time to learn to love it. you dont have to be bored. theres tons of books that could hold your attention. how can you be bored with access to the internet?
