    Guess what....

Ortus, you are not a father! lol

She just got her period... <- using that because they don't have a happy confused face

I know there are pregnancy scares, but wtf... the hell was that? She had like half of the possible symptoms of being pregnant!?

She even got cramps without her period showing up at first, it came like 2-3 days after the cramps and that never happens to her, so i thought forsure she was going to be pregnant this last day or 2...

Phew... I'm glad that's all over with...

Now i'm bored... Ain't got no job, ain't got no money, ain't got no worries.... :sunny:

^ Some seriously bold ass-holes there...doubting seriously any animal critters ate/dug up the lilies and 4/5" of dirt. :cuss: Those are one of the few plants even bugs/pests usually leave alone.

    Well, now that we know...(lol)

Time to not smoke so you can be prepared to get the job at Lowes (or whatever is up there)...even you said that isn't a "shabby idea".

What did you do for your dad for Father's Day?

Thanks Wyld. I have lavender planted on the other side and it is doing well. The lily was special because Dad got it from the church the Easter after Mom died. We did not know if it would come back up or not but it did well until someone (deer?) decided to eat the flowers and buds. This year the whole plant disappeared. Very disappointing.

Since the lavender is doing well on the other side I hope the new plant will thrive as well. My brother (Tyrsonswood) says that lavender is hard to grow. But so far the one I put in four years ago is doing well there. I love lavender but I know nothing about gardening so maybe it was beginners luck.

That is what Dad and I thought. But who would do such a thing in a cemetery?

I know there are deer, groundhogs, bunnies and squirrels in the cemetery. And thought in past years that one of those culprits ate the buds and blossoms but never have they taken the entire plants away leaving nothing but a hole in the ground.

We have deer to occasionally come in our yard and eat ALL the leaves off of some of Mama's caladiums...but they've never bothered any lilies!

I'd agree that some bunnies may be interested in the buds, but the bulb/root system of a lily would be mighty big for a ground hog...and it seems I may have read that most lilies are poisonous for animals. I KNOW that peace lilies, which are really indoor plants, are lethal for cats and some dogs, and all lilies are in the same "family".

Anyway, there are people everywhere with no respect whatsoever...I know you know that. Around here a couple of years ago, some human critters went through one of the local cemetaries and STOLE most of the bronze vases that were (loosely) attached to the markers. It was thought they stopped when they did because it had to have taken a while and they were scared off by someone coming to visit a grave.

Bummer... I doubt it was a deer, their front teeth would cut through the plant and not disturb the roots. A deer ate most of the Hosta I took from the old place to the new property... Didn't think they would eat a hosta. Once you get lavender started they grow like crazy... Getting them started is a problem, they are susceptible to root rot.

Somebody just got some bad mojo for stealing that lily.

Oh! Just in case somebody is wondering I'm not really here.

i was so surprised when i started visiting hipforums and kept seeing posts about people getting drug tested for jobs in retail and at pizza shops. it's a completely foreign idea to us. weed is pretty much accepted as part of canadian culture and most people don't consider it a 'real' drug, from what i can tell.

we're going on a harbour cruise followed by drinks on a private balcony tonight, it's a 'grad bash' for my wife's class to celebrate them finishing the academic portion of their masters program. 2 months of placement, and then she's all finished. i think she is going to have trouble finding things to do with her time now that she's finished with 6 years of schooling, lol.

It really is the ultimate invasion of privacy isn't it? You have to give your bodily fluids to someone so they can judge if what you put in your body is acceptable. And what kind of sick fuck wants to examine piss all day anyway? Unless maybe your a doctor then it has a good cause. But the guys at the lab are not doctors.

I stand corrected! Chocolate chip pancakes are delicious...

Anything in a pancake, makes it so much better...

For the longest time I thought we had to get tested for everything here too... I always hear about americans saying how they get tested, I just assumed it's the same for us.

It's basically just the military and police that test you if you join?

I've been thinking of doing this for a long time now, and now that I currently have zero responsibilities whatsoever I think I can make it happen... Maybe...

I want to backpack across the US, hitchhike from one end to the other. I've always wanted to do this in europe, but I think it'd be better to start with the US, since it'd be a lot cheaper...

I've never actually been to the US before, which is another reason I want to do this, I want to see it. I've crossed the boarder once, and that was just to go to Bellingham, WA to pick something up, I was there for like an hour tops... That was the only time I ever set foot in the States.. Even though I live just a few minutes away from the boarder...

I love to travel, and I love to walk and hitchhike, back when I was in school, I basically missed the bus every day because I couldn't get up early enough... so when I went to school I would just walk, it was a good 2 hour walk... there were a few times I actually got picked up by random people without even trying lol... It was fun.

I think this would be awesome for me, for those of you that know me here you probably realize i'm the type to get restless and bored, I like to move around and explore and find new things a lot, maybe to much... So I think this would be perfect for me, I just have to actually start this, that's the hardest part...

My parents will think i'm insane... But they don't really understand it... Like whenever we would go camping, they'd bring a huge camper with a TV, xbox, stove, etc... I would always refuse to go in it, I'd sleep outside in a sleeping bag alone, "what's the point in camping if its no different than being at home?" and they thought i was the weird one... And whenever I'd tell them I hitchhiked to school they'd be like WHAT!? WHY!? "i missed the bus?" and when I'd walk for 2 hours to my girlfriends house, they'd be like just wait an hour for a ride!?... They don't understand that I actually enjoy doing that... lol

My girlfriends cool with it, I wouldn't be gone more than 2 weeks, maybe a month tops if I get distracted and decide to stay at a few places a while.. Who knows.. I want to do this with minimal money though, no hotels, no paying for rides like planes or busses or whatever, basically i just need a bit for food and weed :D
