I didn't say it wasn't popular, I just said (or rather wanted to say) that success in starcraft was 90% down to micromanaging your units, and judging from the beta videos SCII has gone down the same road (much to the delight of SC fans I'm sure) I'm sure it takes a great deal of skill, but it's not what Im looking for in an RT"S" (S gets quotes)

An equally large piss off for me is the way everything else has gone rock-paper-scissors with unit specialization, in TA ground units would have a go at shooting down planes, they would miss 99.9% of the time, but at least it meant that your army of 100 ground based units wasn't completely at the mercy of a singly tech 1 plane. Nowadays it's pretty much anti-air beats air 100% of the time, sub beats ship 100% of the time, air beats ground 100% of the time etc.

StarCraft II relies a bit more on macromanagement then the first one does. However, I see your point about rock-paper-scissors. StarCraft II replaces some of the unit micro with a rock-paper-scissors kinda thing, so that if you made the wrong units you can't counter what the enemy has even if you have awesome macro.

I am about 90% sure some of my dreads have mold. I just feel like combing out.

Well now that my dreads are long enough I can pull them to my nose I decided to smell the fattest one and it surely stinks of mildew. I thought it was the henna but now that I think all the henna is out it still stinks. I think it may be just one but I am not sure.

Mine smell like that, I have even performed autopsies on the ends that have fallen off and there's no mildew there. Just a bit of stink and grease deep inside. I'd be worried if people could smell it but they can't. Perhaps, seeing as it doesn't really matter that all the dreads are the same size, cut a centimetre off and have a look inside.

If you don't see any visible mildew wash with a teatree shampoo and add several drops of tea tree oil to the shampoo for a while to cut the grease up and get rid of the smell.

Right now I'm using Lush's R&B moisturising cream on my hair, it smells gorgeous for about a week, costs about £9.87 but with the miniscule amount you need a pot will last well over a year so try that too if you can.

If not, try those perfumes Phoenix sun gave a few weeks ago?

Okay, so I boiled some water added some spiced tea with ginger and stuff to it, then added vinegar and tea tree then soaked my head it in. I tried to blow dry but got tired of doing that and now I am going to just let it air dry without rinsing and see how it smells later.

I don't smell it on any others so hopefully it will just go away if I keep using the tea tree oil.

I've had similar issues as well, and I'm almost certain it comes from shampoo not getting rinsed out properly. Since I stopped using shampoo on a regular basis they seem so much cleaner, particularly the dreads that haven't had so much contact with shampoo. I might be wrong of course, it could be that it's just that the dreads higher up aren't as mature which is why they're cleaner, but I don't think so.

Vinegar rinses have helped a lot as well, I've decided it's worth it even though the smell does linger. I doesn't seem to make a difference at all for me in terms of quantity or if I rinse out straight away either, the smell of vinegar still stays for a while, but it really cleans them well.

I remember reading on knottylocks about someone who had gone through lots of sets of dreads using different shampoos etc, and her last set which she had not used shampoo and regularly used vinegar rinses were totally clean inside.

I also notice you have quite some blunt ends (I was nosing through your pics :D), you might want to consider brushing the ends out, since I did that to mine they dry so much better. If there's one thing I've learnt about dreads, they need to be able to breathe and air properly.

Hope you sort out the problem gret, I really like your dreads, it would be shame if you combed:(

yeah it realli would be a shame if you combed,. after I wash mine they smell off, I'm not sure of what though. I smell like a wet dog and am so self concious about it I rarely wash now. I use lush shampoo for the fly away hairs and my side cut. I rarely wash the actual dreads and always regret it when I do...

They smell a lot better today. After the tea tree and vinegar.

I never use shampoo anymore and usually wash once every two weeks. I always just use baking soda and vinegar.

About the tips. I try to come them out but it just looks so ridiculous because my tips blunted on there own and they did it in a really loopy way. I cut the end off the stinky one and I don't see any mold, just lint.

I will just have to include tea tree oil in my washing now. I think I will be good.

blowdryer, for the love of god, blowdryer. it has saved me the stress of having to wonder if mine are moldy or stank.

Same. After an hour blow drying, I think they're dry and then half an hour later they are just as wet as when I first got out the shower

Yeah, I don't think I could even afford the electric bill if I kept my blow dryer on long enough to dry them and it would probably blow out.

I blow dry them half way then air dry them the rest, and they are always dry by the end of the day. I think because it is just way too humid here that it is almost inevitable. I get mold everywhere in my apartment.

There are shirtless people riding bikes on my front lawn while speaking French.

They're wearing swimming trunks, but there are no places to swim here.

    I'm so confused...
