yeah, thats not a bright idea. IF you needed a hot bath in a manner like that, it is better to exhaust the hot smoke around the outside of the tub, or at the very least build the fire under only one end of the tub, so you have a cooler spot to retreat to.

im planning a cob hot tub with this heat exchange principle, though i will be combining it with rocket stove design for efficiency.

oh yeah, we have flooding. theres a park uphill from us, theres a 3/4 foot berm holding back the water in the flooded basketball court and field. the geese were swimming in it this morning. im hoping it will hold, and the runoff ditch behind us is between a 6-8 foot berm and our fence. i am REALLY hoping that doesnt run over.

my idea is to make a circle of stones on a small round concrete pad....maybe 6 feet across and 4 feet high....with stone seats....the heater and filter you can get at any supplier.

or buy or build a cheap garden shed and reinforce it and line with pine and install a sauna heater

pretty much... i swear i get more looks from girls when i have my wedding ring on. not sure if it is all in my head or not, but the days that i forget it, i feel invisible. weird.

there is water under my fridge. now i have to figure out why. it doesnt appear to be dog piss, and i dont see water coming from the ceiling or wall, and the crawlspace still looks dry. i dont see anything obvious happening in the fridge. the water line for the icemaker is not attached to anything, so it cant be that. ugh. #thejoysofhomeownership

 

did your power go out recently? maybe it was the freezer in the fridge defrosting?

 

no, power hasnt gone out. the compressor had to be replaced last year (like 1-2 weeks after it was delivered new) its a whirlpool model# ED2KHAXVS03

im trying to find instructions online for how to access the working parts. if its just a drain pan/defrost issue i should be able to fix it. frustrating though. i have a backup fridge in the garage if this one cant be fixed. i didnt even want this fridge, its too big, but the loan forced us to use BAC appliances instead of sears. the fridge i picked at sears was perfect. when we remodel i will replace it. for now i just have to endure this one.
