i love little bees. we need them. that said- i am glad i am not allergic. i did get a horrible secondary infection in my face as a kid, it was some sort of wasp/yellow jacket/ hornet that got me, repeatedly on my nose. my whole face swelled up. THOSE little fuckers can die.

are you safe from the high waters? we are safe for now, but my friend's basement is flooded. all those hot dry days, people hoping for rain, and we get it all at fucking once.

Yes allot of water but none in the house yet. It's not supposed to be like this in Colorado, we are a sunny state.

 

it isnt supposed to be so MUCH all at the same time, thats for sure. i feel like we used to get a lot of summer rain, but it was in bursts, couple of hours almost ever afternoon. this shit is just crazy. mudslides on I-70. might keep my hubby home from work tonight, which would not be terrible. ive been watching the news all day. we were in lyons just a couple of weeks ago, my grammie was telling me about my uncle (great uncle? family anyways) that they went to visit every few years when my dad was a kid. he lived down a road, we didnt drive that way to see the place, but it was DOWN a road, so im sure its underwater now. his old store may or may not be ok. its crazy. and one more reason everyone should have a go-bag. because when you gotta go, you gotta go.

I can usually watch any short clips, especially one as short as your "sign clip". For some reason it took me about 10 tries (or more) to watch it, and that was in disconnected bursts. BUT...I think you said "why aren't you smoking".

so very sorry to hear this Broony. Maybe grandpa will pull himself together...but it sounds like your mom's family is close and them all being together for this will help your mother. But putting grandpa in an assisted living place wouldn't be the worse thing to happen.

 

I am so sorry to hear this. It does seem like your grandfather has some form of dementia and will need a safer place to live. This does sound like a stressful time for your Mom, her sister and your family. Wishing for the best outcome. :grouphug:

Roof is being torn off.... Damn they are loud. Spooky can't find a place to hide and Erin is being very quiet.

 

Poor Spooky must think the sky is falling. Maybe it reminds him of the noise the firemen made fighting the fire and tearing down walls etc.

I just went to a yard sale out at the Humane Society. They had some good stuff. I donated a few boxes of things a couple weeks back when they were collecting. I picked up a few things today that I don't need and ended up giving them extra money as a donation.
