it's just not right for the kind of music i play - but it IS right for most of the music i listen to. kind of like, i can play piano and keyboards but prefer piano because of the natural sound.

the roosters are rapers and pillagers...this one is a hen that was ousted by the other hens and has taken up residence on the porch on the opposite side of the house....the girls carry her around like she's a falcon
...very domesticated .....and i gotta say...sometimes the chickens are funny to watch when stoned........

 

No end to the entertainment factor of chickens. Was the ostracized hen a late addition to the flock?

 

had to have a cat put down last night. he got real sick real fast.. developed a blood clot from heart disease that went unnoticed.

we found him hunkering in our garden shed 15 years ago during a blizzard when he was just a pup. rest in peace white kitty (that was one of his names)

by the way, it's pretty amazing that we euthanize animals but can't even put down a consenting human being..

 

not sure because i am also a new addition to this flock...they are actually my daughters chickens....i just get to eat their unborn

 

I am looking to get more chickens - I have regular well respected egg-laying varieties but am open-minded for any other varieties. I try to steer away from very noisey chickens and do not have any males - normally on loan.

Any suggestions? I am rather open-minded but will not go more than the equiv of 15 bucks per bird?
