This place is pretty special in that way. Good to have people you know fairly well, but who are removed from the situation and can provide some good advice (or just a sounding board, sometimes).

I don't know if other hospitals would handle it better or not.
There's not much option here. We once had a politician known as Mike the Knife and one of the biggest things that got cut in our city was our psych services. It got hacked to barely nothing. They've been known to keep suicidal folk in a hallways because there are so few beds. My previous trip to emerg was in Oct and it was a horrible experience as well. It's like they have ZERO training on how to deal with a psych patient.

 

they wont kick you out here, probably get the police to hold you even longer. our jails are tied in with the mental system. its fucked, dont go crazy here you will get locked up and treated whether you want it or not..

however you will have a hearing.

 

the doctor i saw yesterday (pregnant, not her fault i found that upsetting) impressed upon me the importance of counseling. it seems that it is time for me to bite the bullet, figuratively, not literally, and seek therapy. current events are going to take my anxiety and ptsd to a whole new level. she says im still in shock. im fucking flipped out. i want to scream and cry and run away. like i have to prove to myself that i can do something, i feel so helpless.
and just as we are losing our health insurance too. i need a solo vacation.

thanks honey. im supposed to go to a bachelorette party tonight too. they will expect me to sing karayoke. and ply me with drink.

im worried i will become a puddle and ruin it. i dont really want to go, theres a lot more songs prone to tear me up now.

if anyone wants to list karayoke songs that are uplifting, self-strengthening, that might be helpful. be good to go in with a list. i cant think in a straight line right now.

i have a general dislike for the spawn of others. kids are little shit-heads. i could watch my friends' kids, and thats about it.
there are a lot of food places nearby, including an olive garden, and most of my work experience was with them. im sure they will take me, if they are looking for someone.
