yeah...I've had more than one person tell me with more than one break that if I could move my fingers, for instance, my wrist OR arm bone wasn't broken. LOL

I've told people more than once - note that I did NOT ask their opinion - that I was pretty sure I knew when a bone was broken. Aside from the pain, I was lucky enough to hear the bones when they broke. :D

I've never broken a bone during a sport, and I'm pretty sure hockey is loud...so, I can understand not hearing a bone break then.

You must have been amped up on adrenalin since you could do all that walking with those broken bones!

just cause you can move it, dont mean it isnt broken. I had been hit in the shoulder with something while in the army, hurt, was bruised and I hid it. firing rifles off the shoulder made it even worse and worse. til I finally had enough pain when I had my xray, 3fractures wasnt very "humorous" since I basically damaged government property by not telling them sooner.. however this happened during training. Still could jeopardize the outfit and self hiding an injury. lesson learned.

oh yeah. definitely amped up. when i woke up the next morning the difference was noticeable instantly.

oh there was a noise. but the only one i can recall was my skates hitting the boards.

The only time I can say for certain that I've really felt adrenalin and its "helped" me is when I was either about to be in a "confrontation" or I was in one.

I don't know if it was adrenalin or kundalini (yeah - hows that for an interesting word? :D ) but I've honestly felt something run through me and up my spine before and during "special moments".

Note: These are NOT the kind of "special moments" I enjoy. :)

in other news, since my stones have passed i have taken my blood pressure three times when walking through walmart pharmacy. the first time about a month ago it read the bottom number as high blood pressure and the top number in the danger zone. the next time was about two weeks ago and it read both in danger of having high blood pressure with the arrow just on the edge of the high blood pressure mark. 2 days ago i got the latest reading and its still in the "danger of high blood pressure" mark but its on the border of that and the normal blood pressure range. looks like my new diet has been working.
i never knew how much salt/sodium i was eating until i stopped eating it so much.

    OMG!!! Ori!!! :(

I've shot a rifle before and I do know about firing off one's shoulder.

I CANNOT IMAGINE shooting until you had 3 fractures! DEARGOD! That just makes me cringe.

Your pain tolerance must be very high.

From every single thing I've ever read or heard about any of the military branches, getting hurt...much less telling a superior you are hurt is not encouraged. To the average civilian and from all that is implied...those in the military should be able to "just shake it off"! So it seems to me you were just trying to be a good soldier.

    God bless you.

I fell on some ice two years ago and broke my wrist. Hurt like hell. I went to a drugs store and bought one of those wrist braces they use for carpal tunnel. It was a Saturday so I waited till Monday to call my orthopedic doctor. They took x-rays and he said it was just sprained. He said it was OK to keep wearing the wrist brace if it helped me.

Went back two weeks later still in a lot of pain. They took x-rays again and he came in and apologized saying that on the new x-rays he could see that I had broken my wrist but that the bone did not shift when it broke and was very hard to see on the first x-ray. He asked if I wanted a cast and I asked if I could keep wearing the brace. He said that would be OK.

I guess the moral of the story is that if you break a wrist you might get by with just wearing a carpal tunnel wrist brace. (or not)

I know,right......I have a buddy that carves for money...I already emailed him.....I could probably do a hack one...I want it too

I even thought about casting them and selling them...the crystal ball is just a glass globe lamp

good morning stoners....sister says surgery went well...they don't cast these injuries anymore....which was always the worst part of any injury was lugging around the goddamned cast

he has a brace and if he can master the crutches he will come home later today

I remember being pissed that they wanted me to prove to them that I could handle the crutches before they released me

went down the hall and they had wooden stairs and slopes and curbs and I had to traverse them before I was allowed to leave the hospital

When I was 12 my legs basically fell off and I had to have major surgery on both hips.3 pins in one side, heal, taken out, then 4 pins in other side, heal, taken out.Missed 18 months of school.Had visiting math teacher in hospital, she was gross and had smelly breath.Remember playing strip poker with the nurses though. This should really be in random facts lol.
