    hope thats a good thing.

anyone here ever buy a small established business? curious if all the paperwork, accounting, bs that comes along with it made you wish you hadn't. i've never been a "business" person, i've always rather put in an honest day's work for honest day's pay and punch out.
oh and, no employees to deal with, just myself. that seems like the really good part.

Depends on the kind of business
I helped my mom run a convenience store. It was a lot of work. You pretty much live your job.

Quickbooks takes care of everything ,accounting, paperwork, payroll, taxes, it's a really good program , you could take a class on how to use quickbooks or hire a bookkeeper who is familiar with the program.

It was worth it for some time but it got tiring and when my mom's health started going down the tubes she sold it off. There was also a pile of new legislation that came through regarding selling smokes and advertizing that was a real hit to small retailers.
We also had my father's nicely mid-class income as a safety, so it was a little less intense when rough patches hit, than if it was the only income.

feel free to ask me any questions-here or pm me.

I've worked for plenty of people and I've owned a business.

Both suck in their own way.

Wow, they got back to us fast. They didn't like our first cosigners but we're off to get another set of signatures. The super sounded like this was promising but the 'corporation' is the one that gets the last word.

Considering the amount of mass layoffs that are happening in my area, these places are gonna have to eventually cut folk like us some slack.
