we had to wade through waste deep snow to the garage at the other farm.....unscrew it cause it was locked for the winter.....

plug in the snowblower to start it....then clear 60 feet down to the road so we could get the van and trailer in....thank Christ my bud works like a bull....no gloves on....no coat......cleared the drive way while I went in and started a fire

slept with all my clothes,sweater,hoody,2 undershirts, long johns, winter coat...inside a sleeping bag with thick wool blanket.we were fighting over who got to have the dog for the night:)

14 yr old pitbull....stayed under the blankets the entire time we were there

no water...it was shut off and drained......had to go out into last nights blizzard 3 times to pee during the night....for some reason it didn't occur to me to just pee in a cup...dah!

and...the basements all dug up cause they poured the new foundation a few weeks back....so you gotta walk a plank from the inside to the outside

but we had a blast.....despite the frozen toes and tiny pecker from peeing in a blizzard

got home to a hundred downed branches and limbs....my maples and my ashes really took a hit....havnt checked my apple trees yet

Winter camping and a boys night. Sounds like such fun. :) Just teasing you as it does sound like you had fun. Except for the night trips outside....brrrr.

Hope your trees are not too damaged. I saw your area really got nailed. Southern Ontario had three full days of it. I am so thankful that I am not living in Cambridge now. ;)

We had a good 15 cm and then freezing drizzle. Kieran blew out the lane on both sides and widened it so that it will be fine. Mia shoveled the back so we are all clear. It was really heavy and I am glad it is over.

Everyone is coming here for xmas so bad weather would not have been ideal.

the drive home yesterday was slow... coming from peterborough area. crazy ice storm on saturday night, ended up having to change plans after the show because the cabs refused to go out of town because of the road conditions.

my wife and I exchanged gifts last night, then we're doing our stockings tonight, then gifts with her family on christmas eve, and mine on christmas morning.

she got me a french press, a new scarf, and a book :)

i got her a blow dryer (she had mentioned wanting a new one a few months ago), a cd, and a few more random things (pastry blender, candles).

    this is the artist: http://www.truenorthrecords.com/Albums.php?album_id=798

i think you guys would like her.

What show you see eggy? Also makes me me smile when you say certain place names like peterborourgh as that is a city here in englad, I bet the Canadian town is much nicer though.

No rain here in SW England, but some vicious winds, and heavy rain. Not sure if we are doing much at all today. Going over to our family friends house later tonight, just be catch up and couple beers probably. Not sure whether to stay here with grandparents, or go over to family friends. My parents and brother will be going I know...

Having Christmas day tomorrow here as on Wednesday, we are driving up to London to be with my dads parents for rest of trip
