fucking stupid birds started eating my Styrofoam....back to the drawing board

 

Could you put up some plywood or something on their side of the styrofoam to protect it from them?

Yesterday I planted almost 2 flats of pansies...I put out 10 6packs.

I've still got a little bit more to plant, and its time to put down fresh pine needles before things start freezing.

I wonder...when you quit smoking cigarettes do you EVER not want one? Goodnightalive!!!

 

Does your cat eat the pansies? It seems like whenever I plant pansies a animal comes along and eats them , maybe is a rabbit eating them.

The chipmunks or ground squirrels - which ever lives down in the ground - may sometimes eat them from the bottom...like I go out there and there is a hole where the plant was. I HATE that a lot! :devil: They are worse about eating my blooming, more expensive plants in the spring though. When that starts I start filling up the holes with pepper flakes and soap...which they don't like. :2thumbsup:

However, DEER are the dang creatures that will eat ALL the blooming pansies! The deer may not bother mine for several years and then there will be a winter I have to keep something up to keep them away. During those deer-eating years, a number of times I would be planning on getting a picture of a particular little area where the pansies were blooming especially nice - only to go out there in the morning to find ALL the blooms gone. :banghead: :cuss:

I think rabbits would eat them too but I don't have to deal with many rabbits around here. The cats tend to "take care" of them. lol

you can get predator urine to deter the deer, i have also read that sachets of human hair and irish spring soap are supposed to deter critters. and mice dont like peppermint.

my dog ate through the cord on a heating pad, and my purse strap, and the bottom of my purse. she didnt get anything that was inside though, thank goodness.

i still want a cig sometimes. particularly when stressed, or when i smell one. i smoked clove cigs, the cost got way out of hand. i quit for my boys. its been 6+ years. theres always a part of the brain that goes "you never give us what we need anymore" it tries to trick you. its voice will get smaller and easier to ignore.

 

I remember when everyone went through a phase of smoking cloves in high school. I'm not a fan. I've also seen non-tobacco cigarettes available at headshops, but I've always just assumed that they would be gross and have never bothered to try them.

i didnt smoke in high school, i started in the navy. something to fill time. plus flavor on the filters. makes me want one now, lol.

the sun is firing off X class flares today, and that region is turning toward us. a repeat of the Carrington Event would be terrible. like, back in the dark ages worldwide panic and revolution terrible. plus, the added threat of warheads governed by electronics.

The start of medication changing begins today.
Hopefully I'll have enough of all the other drugs to balance out coming off the citralopram.

Man I'm still a heavy smoker. At least two packs a day sometimes more. I roll my own so it keeps the cost down somewhat but still
