I read somewhere lemon balm used to be called the "strewing herb", probably because people used to "strew" (toss) it on the floor and where ever because it has a nice smell. The author thought they really called it the strewing herb because everywhere the wind blew, it "strewed" itself and grew! lol

And guess what else I have - St. John's Wort! I did have just one plant...it not only grows Very Well, as in it gets big easily...but it "strews" itself too, and I sort of have it in abundance. :D

I should know what American ginger looks like IRL, but I just haven't managed to see any. I've been told there is a lot around here in this area.

The Cali boys arrived and already left for their hotel/motel (what is the difference?) because they had been up roughly 20 hours. They get the highest price one in the city limits because (I'm serious now) that one is "clean enough". LOLOL I also think its because the German is a little spoiled; but, that's ok. :sunny:

I just couldn't find it in me to tell him "mach es dir selber". :p The German said he thought he could smell the cat litter pan. lol  So, I went around spraying the stongest Febreeze on the market.

I wanted to say, Hell there are 2 cat pans...you should be able to smell at least something since I'm the only one that does anything around here. lol :D

    LOL! :D

Unless you have an extraordinary sense of smell (which he does) you couldn't smell anything. BOTH pans were changed this very day, everything vacuumed, etc. Yeah, I cleaned like a dang maniac.

I have been in homes that smelled AWFUL from cats and/or from dogs...like the odor would assault you. Its not like that here. :)

That's cool then, I'm a little paranoid that I'm becoming used to the smell of my rabbit waste. The rabbits themselves do not smell at all, just their pee. I keep them in the laundry at nights and they only pee in the one spot where I've out a container old down for them which catches it all buuut it still leaves the laundry with a slight distinct scent. It usually diminishes once I start washing clothes though.

I have always heard that people that work at chicken slaughter houses eventually can't smell it. DEARGOD!!! Now that is scary.

You can smell one of those places from 1 to 2 miles away.

I may have gotten somewhat used to the cat smell; but, I knew they were coming so I made sure to do everything I could to alleviate that smell.

When I'd started smoking cigs (again) for a time last year, NOBODY could tell nor smell it in the family. I promise that if anybody that lives here and/or knows me had the slightest idea I was smoking, they would have said something. (Yes, I was sly. ;) ) Then one early morn when they were visiting I had been smoking outside...I'd come in, washed my hands and everything...and dang if he didn't say "OK now, Lynn, I smell that cigarette".

    goodnightalive lol

I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of smelling any of those, WW.

The SC state flower is yellow jessamine, which many of the people around here call jasmine. But I know jasmine and jessamine are 2 different plants.

The best smelling flower/shrub I've ever smelled was daphne odorata. :sunny:

Edit: OMG! I can't believe I forgot about the wonderful, hypnotic smell of the moonflower. Now that smell is something that should be bottled!

well just the thoughts that are going on in my head. they seemed to revolve around the fact that my stones are back. in fact after having pain this past weekend i actually saw a stone pass out of me for the first time. (that is after the doctor telling me i had 5 of them when i had them removed and zapped)
i passed one about a week ago but i wasnt sure it was one because it came from nowhere and quickly sunk to the bottom of the urinal, but then monday i had two pretty big ones come out and they didnt go to the deep part of the bowl so i could clearly see them. then at work that night just before going home i saw another one.
if only these little painful pieces of shits were worth some money i would have it made. then on top of all that i can feel them in my kidney, it sounds strange maybe because most people that have them dont know it until the pain starts but i dont have pain, i can just feel that they are there. almost like someone is pressing their finger against my kidney.

I'm going to spin one up and go for a nice long walk this morning. I might stop off at the headshop to buy one of those little one hitter/dugout things. They're handy for sneaking a hit in a semi-public place.

yeah, it must suck to have such weak skin.

in other news a truck driver mentioned our plant only has 20 weeks left. we knew that its days might be numbered because the company is catering to its new plant in which it fully owns. ( they are forced to lease the land that my plant is on) so while its no surprise its a bit scary knowing how long you have left in a job that you kind of like. although the one good side is they would be dumb to completely shut down our plant because shipping expenses and in case there is a breakdown of the other plant which isnt uncommon. im the best one at the job i do, i hope thats enough that if they cut some shifts i am the one to stay.
