i got 9.5 hours of sleep last night compared to my usual 6.5-7, and i feel less awake than i do normally. not fair.

 

i got in shit for showing the kids a heckyl and jeckyl cartoon...its amazing we arent all nutcases from those violent cartoons...this one opened with a dog shooting his way out of prisosn...later he shoots himself in the head and also signs his autograph with a stick of dynamite

hey rollingalong... what did you do (or are planning on) for the chicken yard and poles?

my original plan was to use 5 long poles horizontally(to go between posts) and sorta weave the poles vertically into them...

 

no snow here, it's about 3C right now. I could go for one more snow... still have my winter tires on anyway.

just saw that the weather network is warning of possible snow tomorrow... hmmm...

 

the chickens tend to ram the bottom of the fence and escape under it...so we have boards along the bottom most of the way around atm....this one had to be made in a hurry last fall and was partially ripped out in the winter to load in a piano through the yard....as soon as my foot is better i will redo it...my plan is to use sturdy posts about every 8 feet with lighter ones inbetween...this time i might use a steel cable along the top and bottom to keep it more fence like....unless you do yours first and show me a better way.........right now we have no gate..it sucks herding the escapees back in because they try and run through the chicken wire instead of flying over it

Well, I'll take a picture later of the gate we made for the yard... basic built a box frame between a tree trunk and the chicken coop and made a pole frame with chicken wire over it as the gate itself...

count yourself lucky though... lol since we first put the yard fence up a couple of years ago, we have had bears go through it at least 3 or 4 times, the goats go over/through it, dozens and dozens of times (including squeezing through the chicken door that is just over a foot squared), the dog run into it full tilt and take out a section, plus had chickens going under AND over the damn thing... lol

 

what do you do if the doctor gives you 1 year to live?

the leafs should pay fans to go watch them...

 

we have trees surrounding the yard so they can easily fly into a tree and escape...thankfully they are incredibly stupid.......its not cold here ...3 now and going up ..it was 7 at midnight last night...i gotta look for tires now on kijiji

Something i noticed the one time I was watching it. The angel Johnathan was in this car with a drug dealer, and they was going really fast and the car crashed and killed the dude. I was thinking wtf kinda angel is that?
