Bing has an angry looking male lion with a lioness and baby cub photo today. I guess for Father's Day?

Anyway, did you know that with lions....a male might invade a lioness and her cubs and kill all of the cubs, if they are not his, so that the lioness will mate again and have offspring with him?

I think tigers do the same. Lions are the best though. =]

King of the long dead grass more like hey? Tigers are cool and I like the jaguar too but I like the lion more because they're a lot more boss like hehe. I got to stare at one in a zoo once like right there in front of it. And I also got to feed baby tiger cubs by hand in the enclosure while the mamma tiger was eating and she didn't care and the cubs were tackling each other all over me and it was really cool. One of the better birthday gifts from my sisters.

I think I like lions from that Ghost and the Darkness movie. =]
Also the book it's taken from was really good too and true story.

I was right there when a tiger reared and sprayed a woman with an inch thick stream of piss that shot out the tigers cooch with the pressure of a fucking fire hose

hit the woman square in the face and chest with a good 7 second stream of incredibly smelly tiger perfume lol

Yes I seen this at a circus a long time ago too. The people in the front row got pissed all over and I remember my mum was in hysterics. Haha. I can't remember it all that much but mainly remember her laughing because they had much more comfortable seats and we were on a wooden bench with sore butts. But after seeing that it was a blessing.

(MANY) Years ago I remember reading at least 2 books by Joy Adamson that dealt with her raising the lioness, Elsa. I still remember how moving her true tale was/is.

I think all big cats are the coolest...being in prides and all that. Some of their natural order of things is deadly; but, it is one of the truest examples of the strongest survive and all that. :2thumbsup:

My Brownie that looks like Moon's sig is such a funny (strange) boy...when I HAVE TO TALK LOUD TO MAMA, he will 99.9% of the time immediately jump up in my lap and start tapping tapping tapping on my mouth. lol I guess to shut me up, but hell she can't hear otherwise...she can't even hear then but comes close and it drives Brownie crazy. lol

Wolves too are my favourite animals. Their compassion and monogamous family life are really admirable.. Though I don't live that way myself, it's really adorable to see ferocious animals live this way. There are wolves about here but not many and I believe they mainly come up over the Italian alps. I was able to track one on horseback for a few hours one day and I even caught glimpse of it which I thought impossible during the day and on a beast myself. I would love to go to Alaska and observe for a few months.

I've read recently the wolf is returning to Bavaria though, and that's exciting for me.
Black bears too, but it won't track them, nope. I'm bolting away. >.<

Oh my yes...Wolves are animals I greatly respect.

They stay faithful to their mate and will travel ridiculously long distances to feed the "family". (I forget what they are called...I don't think its a litter, but it could be.)

Especially re wolves...I think that a NUMBER of humans could/should take some lessons on how to love and be loyal from these admirable animals.

I think the young pups are called a litter and then when a "family" comes together it becomes the Wolf Pack. =]

Funny that because I'm reading a book about the psychology of dogs and their immediate ancestor the wolf. I can observe a lot of characteristics from my pup to the wolf pup. Now trying to learn what he is trying to communicate with his barking and whining.
    It's all very interesting.

Yes, my goodness I know that...I've read lots of crazy books...some about shape-shifters and I can't believe I forgot they were called a pack.

and yes, I read good books and crazy ones too. I try to keep a balance to my insanity. :p
